In case a candidate wishes to apply for admission in the PhD Programme in Atmospheric science having preceding qualifying degree for a subject in which there is no University Post-Graduate Dept. then he/she will have to seek an endorsement by the PhD committee of Atmospheric Science . This endorsement should be submitted along with his/her application for admission to the PhD Program.

Admission Test will be taken based upon M.Sc. Syllabus of Atmospheric Science; those candidates who have already passed NET/SLET/M.Phil/ Teacher Fellowship or equivalent exams are exempted from the Admission Test. However, they have to qualify in the interview.
No. of Seats: 12 . Reservation will be followed as per the West Bengal Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission).

To the PhD Programme in the Department of Atmospheric Science, University of Calcutta, 51/2 Hazra Road, Kolkata-700019, for the year 2017 – Candidates should apply in the prescribed proforma by paying Rs.100/- in the University Cash Counter (as application fee for PhD admission) through a challan obtainable from the Cash Counter at C.U. duly forwarded by the Coordinator of the Department or his representative.
*SC/ST candidates are exempted from paying fees.
