Q) When was the first time you decided to take modelling as a career?
A) Modelling was always there in my mind since childhood, I always wanted to be a part of Miss India pageant. I took modelling seriously in college, it is one of the best careers for a person like me. It gives you confidence and a personality of your own.
Q) How did you feel when you got selected for Miss India?
A) Miss India is a prestigious platform and to be a part of it is a dream come true. Been selected as a top 16 finalist has been an awesome experience. I literally cried when they called out my name, Miss India has really changed me as a person and as an individual. I thank Miss India Org for letting us experience our dreams.
Q) You have participated in so many beauty pageants. Which is your favorite one among those and why?
A) I have participated in quite a lot National Beauty pageants. My favorite was and is Miss India, because I have some beautiful memories with the Miss India Organisation. They taught me how to walk how to talk and how to be confident and accept ones own personality. I was trained at the ramp walk by my favorite and a very talented Supermodel Alesia Raut, that really helped me accept my body. The whole crew made us feel so good about us. They are really down to earth.
Q) We are seeing substantial increase in models from UP who are making it big on National level. What do you feel about girls from Allahabad in terms of modelling?
A) Allahabad has great talent, they just need a platform. We have gorgeous tall girls here and very talented. They just need to focus and need a right guidance in terms of modelling as a career. We also need to promote people here in Allahabad. There is a paucity of right publicity for upcoming talents here. I myself have faced it here. There were media from all over the country covering my interview but there was no media or journalist from Allahabad. So I feel there has to be a balance between talent and publicity.
