Kirti’s Magic of Baking, made her the Winner of MasterChef Season 5

Kirti Bhoutika an undergrad student, is the winner of MasterChef India Season 5She is workaholic and loves to read at paint. Kirti is a trained dancer but a chef at heart. She is always inquisitive to learn new things and explore when it comes to cooking. Her passion for baking led her to open up a home bakery at the age of 18, SugarPlum Cakery. She had a hectic life, but that made her passion made stronger. She desires to achieve more and start teaching baking.

Know her story of baking and making her dreams come true.

1. What are you studying?Kirti Bhoutika

I completed my graduation in Food Science and Nutrition Management a few months ago from J. D Birla Institute and completed my schooling from Mahadevi Birla.

2. When did you start cooking?

I started cooking, rather baking, when I was in class 11 and did a small one-day baking workshop. I started practicing more and more. Ever since I have never looked back. I found my passion for cooking.

3. What inspired you to go to Master Chef India?

I have always been a very ambitious girl and have had very high dreams for myself. I have always wanted to do something big and bold in my life. My parents and my friends pushed me to do this and I decided to give Masterchef a shot.

4. How was the feeling when you got selected for MasterChef ?kirti-recipe

When I first got an apron, I knew that my passion for cooking had just got even stronger. I could see my goals right in front of my eyes. It was a huge thing and it was a very proud feeling for me. It was like a dream come true.

5. How was your journey in Master Chef ?

To sum up, in one word, it’s just about ‘learning’. Learning from my fellow contestants, judges and challenges. With each step I took, I was learning something new. This is what kept me going. I learned to become better and achieve more.

6. How do you feel when you see yourself on television?

I feel like a normal girl who loves cooking and happened to be a part of the biggest cooking reality show of the country. Being on television is just another add on. But I do feel good when I perform good and cook well.

7. What was the reaction of your parents for your achievements ?

I finally felt like I have given back a little to my parents when I see them showing their daughter off in front of their friends. It’s a beautiful feeling to see your parents happy and proud because of you.Kirti Bhoutika

8. What are your plans for future, cooking or studies ?

I plan to polish myself a little in cooking skills and then open up my own food studio where I can learn and teach the people who aspire to be a chef and has a thing for cooking.

9. How is the feeling of achieving stardom at such an early age ?

It’s overwhelming but I need to keep my feet on the ground. This is just the beginning. I have a long way to go and achieve much more in my life and make my parents more proud of my achievements.
