Lets catch up with her as we discover her road to success !

“I Loved Too Much He Loved Too Many “. How did such an apt title come to your mind as the title suggests the ultimate truth of today and what makes you feel that your story could do justice to the title?

I was quite young back then, just doing my Graduation, that book was a reflection of relationships around me, it was not written to make a difference. But yes, that book surely has a message, all my stories do. Also I wanted my book to be relatable to the readers. And the title came during a conversation with a friend and I immediately thought that I am going to keep this as the title of my first book

Why are you inspired by Sophie Kinsella ?

Oh! I love Sophie Kinsella. She writes Chic literature and makes it so captivating. I love the way she attempts humour, it’s up to that intensity that you just cannot help but laugh. I really love how she portrays her female characters in a fun, happy and a quirky way. Also, I am greatly influenced by Novoneel Chakraborty as when you are reading his books, you just want to take a moment and just wonder and appreciate the line you read, so that is the level of writing he does, I wish to be able to do that someday.

Do you feel that if you had taken a different path in your career, you could have made much more or less of a difference?

Yes. I am a very impulsive person, I always follow my heart and that has made all the difference in my life. I was studying medical till class 12th. I was supposed to take Medical as my career ahead. However, I took admission in English Honors and then even after completing my Masters, I never did a regular nine to five job, I didn’t think I was cut out for it.

If you had to do something differently as a child or a teenager to become a better writer as an adult, what would you do?

No, I think I had a fabulous childhood and teenage period, just that I wish I was more confident and fearless back then but now when I think about all that, I think that everything that happens to you is what makes you bit by bit. Had I been different back then, I would not have been the kind of person that I am today.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

Some days I feel like I am on a writing marathon and some days I just don’t write at all.  Also I love to write during nights instead of days.

What are your views on “ Emotion plays a prime role for authors and poets”?

That’s true. It is really important to feel something to be able to do justice to the emotions while writing about that. I think, writers are hypersensitive and this is the reason they are able to express emotions through their work.

What about “Two states”- the novel, it inspired you so much that you actually decided to act in the reality show- “Real two states couple”? Could you give us a brief description about it ?

‘Two States’ is definitely my favorite Chetan Bhagat novel. It happened in a way that one of my friend’s is a Casting Director, I just got to know about the ‘Real Two States Couple’, I auditioned, got through and finally I was told that I would be shown on TV that too with my life’s story. These things don’t happen every day hence, I went ahead and did that TV show. I am glad I did it. For me, doing this show was another outlet for my creativity.

Imagine a case where you need to make a video on how to deal with a breakup but the catch is that it is impossible for the girl to move on. She has no family and friends and the guy was her everything. Given such an instance, how would you deal with such a breakup and how would you make your video extremely unique given you have to direct such a video and case?

Well, I would keep her name anonymous. Breakups are  really hard time in anybody’s life for sure. And given this situation, I would try to pacify her and make her feel good about herself. I would ask her to focus on her goals in life and to spend time doing her hobbies and would remind her to love herself first. Because it is absolutely important to love and respect yourself first.
