I assume that memories are still fresh as Roadies Rising has just ended just a few weeks before. This deadliest season ended with some surprises. Meenal Shah, one of the most sought after contestant on social media has battled and made her way towards being semi finalist of this season of Roadies.
This dazzling and energetic girl auditioned for Roadies from Ahmedabad and she chose to be in Prince Narula’s gang. During auditions, Meenal has impressed all the judges by her honesty and successful battle which she had in her personal life. Throughout the journey, despite having insufficient immunity during vote outs Meenal Made her path towards semi finals through her complete dedication in tasks.
Meenal has received masters degree in Biotechnology from Dr. D. Y. Patil Institute of Technology and recently she has also launched her YouTube channel where she shares her Roadies experience and guides people who are planing to be in upcoming Roadies season. Meenal Shah is first ever Roadies contestant to take this kind of initiative to guide others in entire Roadies franchise.
Let’s know more about her journey..
1) “MTV Roadies Rising”, what did you assume regarding this show before auditioning? Were your assumptions true?
I thought it is a perfect platform for me. As I witness this show through its previous seasons and it showcases your inner strength and talent to the world. And my assumption was right as for several times I got the opportunity to show my potentials and I tried my best.
2) How did you prepared for its audition? And how were your exact feelings during the audition?
I prepared very hard for audition.
I learnt Nanchaku and some of the Mix Martial Arts moves etc. But during audition I was confident and nervous at the same time because as the name was saying Roadies Rising, I thought how difficult it would be. But as I went for it, I was so confident and honest which helped me to make my way into the show.
3) What factors exactly compelled you to join Prince Narula’s gang? And how as a gang leader he supported you throughout the journey?
He is a perfect guy when it comes to do any task. As he is very passionate about winning every task and show. I chose to be in his gang as I saw him in previous season as a gang leader. He was very energetic and supportive throughout this journey. I can remember that how our gang could win immunity just because he gave his heart and soul in one of the task.
4) As you witness this show by battling till semi finals, what do you feel as how easy or difficult it is to stand on personal opinions about particular thing while working in a team or a gang?
Survival in Roadies is most difficult and essential part at the same time because ultimately you are there to be the ultimate Roadie. And it’s not only the task but Vote outs where we have to struggle. And as far as personal opinions are concerned sometimes it happens that you develop particular kind of bonding with someone who may not be from your gang and then you tend to be in extreme dilemma while forming your personal opinion against your gang. But eventually you’ll have to comply with your gang and it’s completely justifiable. However it was a roller coaster of emotions . But finally I managed to tackle with these kind of things and reached till semi finals.
5) Which aspects of this show did you like the most and disliked the most?
My most favorite part of this show was travelling in duster from one city to another. The other thing which I liked was to witness new tasks where you get to showcase your potential and that’s when you and others also came to know about your real qualities.
And I really disliked vote outs the most as fear of losing your friends was very painful. As I said previously, this vote out was one of the part of my journey where I was fighting between emotions and my goal of winning this show.
6) If not Roadies where you would have seen yourself today? How did this show change your life?
I cannot imagine myself without Roadies. Because I had planned in such a way that I wanted to be part of Roadies this year. And I made it. I have got more energy and motivation to follow my dreams after ROADIES experience. Roadies will always remain one of the most prominent journeys of my life where I’ve learnt many things.
7) As you studied biotechnology, do you have any plans in future in this field?
It depends! I can make use of my degree anytime but right now I am following my dreams.

8) As you’ve started your YouTube Channel where you guide those who dream to be in upcoming Roadies seasons, what inspired you to initiate this? As you are first ever Roadie who’s doing this.
When I wanted to get into Roadies, I didn’t get any guidance from anything. So somehow I managed by myself. But when I received so many messages from my loved ones regarding guidance to get into Roadies, I thought YouTube would be the best platform to share my experiences with them. And I am happy to be first one to do so.
9) Lastly, how do you feel that this show has given enough platform to woman? How Roadies empowered feminism according to your experience?
As you’ve seen, Roadies winner is Women and Gang leader who won this show is also a women . Apart from this, show has taken some steps to protect woman’s dignity as you have seen in this season. You must have seen that gang leaders many times made us understand about real feminism and roadies as a show never went bias in terms of particular gender.
