In conversation with Simi Talsania :

1. What was the main reason that brought you into the dancing world?

The main reason that brought me to the dancing world was my mother’s passion towards dance which she couldn’t fulfill and my parents constant effort to push me through this journey. It was always their top dream to see me dancing on a platform that would make the world know about my passion for dance.

2. What according to you is beneficial to teenagers these days, following their heart or following the crowd?

I honestly believe in following my heart. What matters to the crowd is momentary and isn’t going to stay for long but as long as you listen to your heart, you’re going to stay happy and satisfied. This will help you push even harder. Even if you are not much successful after you chose what you love, you surely won’t be having any regrets in life that you once had an opportunity and you couldn’t grab hold of it.

3. Who’s been your role model in this field?

Well, there are two names I would want to mention. Firstly, Meher Malik who inspired me to learn belly dance and second is the one who taught me whacking, Tejasvi Patil from F.A.M.O.U.S crew. Both of them have been a true inspiration in my life and each of my dancing step is always dedicated to them.

4. Share one of your life experience that made you turn to dance for once and forever?

Actually there are two, One of my biggest life changing experiences are when I got to be the part of Disney India’s first musical Beauty And The Beast and secondly, when I was chosen by Kumari Suraj to be a part of her Crew for Dance Plus 3. Being a part of Dance Plus 3 is a big thing in its own way. I could now show cast my talent on national level and let the nation know I have it in my veins. Both these experiences have been life changing for me.

5. Where do you see yourself in the coming years?

In coming years, I see myself staying happy in whatever I choose to do. Since this moment, I’ve chosen dancing as my partner and it’s been always a happy time, I do what I want to, I came into a field I liked and that’s all what I wanted, having no regrets is what I need, Like I said earlier just follow your heart.

6. What is your one true ambition that you want to, or already have, accomplished in life?

My true ambition honestly is to become a successful performer and also a counselor because that’s what I wish to do. Now, since you see I’m quite a good performer now, being a counselor is now my second wish and I really want to accomplish this thing.

7. Who has been the person you admire the most?

My mother and the two ladies, Meher Malik and Tejasvi Patil, already mentioned who’ve pushed me throughout. They’ve always been my constant support throughout my journey of being a dancing superstar. My mom, the woman I adore the most has always been on my side to whatever I dream of and that’s what every child in this universe would crave for.

8. Who has been the reason behind your successful career at this age?

I’ve been very fortunate that my parents have been extremely supportive. But big ups to my friends, my family, my teachers and also the failures I’ve faced, doesn’t matter big or small that I’ve come across, The reason I’ve been able to deal with them positively is because of the people I have around me.
