As most of us had a diary someday where we would write about our days and memories, that is what brought out the writer in Aayushi initially, and now she is one of the most popular writer on Scribbled Stories, jotting down the practical daily stuffs that we experience, in a better way. For Aayushi Yadav, writing started as a daily routine of reading before bedtime and taking part in different competitions and now she plays with words so well that anyone can be overwhelmed by her work and become her instant fan like we do. 1.What according to you is the most important quality a person should have to become a poet or a writer?

Empathy. If a writer only writes out of his experience, one day he will run out of stories to tell. Empathy connects us on a level that goes beyond logic or words. It is the ability to step into the shoes of another person to feel and see the things from a different perspective.

2. Can you describe the time when you first realized that this was something you absolutely had to do ?

I can’t really pin-point the time or day. But I definitely remember that in the initial days writing helped me in channeling my thoughts. Even happy ones. Written words are a testimony that yes I just felt that emotion, thus they are on the paper now.

3. What are your writings mainly based on? And how do you get the ideas to start off with the writings ?

They are mostly gloomy and dark. There are a lot of unwritten bottled thoughts and emotions that all of us go through on a regular day. After adding a pinch of murk and a tablespoon of experience I pen down the recipe of reflection.

4. Whose writings inspire you the most and why ?

Charles Bukowski. He is probably one of the few writers who have given a right direction to their pain and experiences to advance their talent in the world of words. The acceptance of a failure, heartbreak, disappointment or a million other calamities and still living is not for everyone. His acceptance of his life must not be perceived as a submission but strength, ​which is highly evident in his work. 

5. What do you try to communicate through your writings?

There is not a theme or a mood board for my writings. It varies with the kind of day or week I am having. If there was an impressive buffet for breakfast, you will probably read an ecstatic snippet. And if I am having a bad hair day with traffic making me late for work, you will definitely read an honest rant undersigned by me. 

6. Is there any difference between the old age poets and the modern day young poets?

The very noticeable difference is that the age old poets used to write poetry in one single line. The new age writers should not write dissimilar words in 10 different lines and call it poetry. That’s not creative or remotely poetic.

7. If yes, what and which one do you prefer personally?

I am a vintage girl; it​ will be always age old, deep and meaningful poetry for me.

8. What was your first writing about and how did you come up with it?

My first piece of writing was a journal entry about my day. I am quite fond of exclusive stationery. And my mom got this really fancy notebook that had colorful pages with sections and everything. So yes, fascination is the real motivation sometimes.

9.  Do you think social media plays an important role in a career of a writer or a poet to get established ? Reasons!

A big yes in neon. Social Media has created readers. And good readers demand new and fresh content. There are so many young writers who micro blog on Instagram. I think it’s phenomenal.

10.  If you get a chance to meet one writer (living or dead) in your lifetime who would that be and why ?

R.K. Narayan. In my childhood, amongst Nancy Drew’s and Huckleberry Finn, there was also Malgudi Days. His modest style of writing gave me the sensibilities to imbibe the true culture at a very young age.

11. Few unknown facts about yourself.

·         Airports are my favorite writing spot

·         I learnt tarot card reading in college

·         My disappointment is often mistaken as anger

12.  Is writing more of a passion or profession for you ?

I hope and pray that writing always remains a passion for me. The day it becomes a profession I will stop adoring it.

Say something about yourself?

I am the Founder of The Rising Bharat and Deputy Chairperson of India France Youth Forum. I am also an awardee of Top 100 Young Leaders of India and have previously worked as Growth Manager, where I helped 150+ campaigns to reach 30+ lacs. I have worked with various other organizations – Delhi Food Truck Festival, The Dais Foundation, Teach For India, Faad, and many more. At the age of 19, I was invited to Delhi University’s prestigious college, Dyal Singh as a judge in a Startup Competition.

From where do you get inspiration?

I get inspiration from every person I meet. The setbacks and challenges people have faced in their lives inspire me to rise beyond my own. In Rising Bharat, we do the same, we cover stories of people from various walks of life who have reached new horizons through their efforts. Not just one, but every person inspires me.

Would you like to say something about the campaigns that you have organized?

The best campaign or the most successful campaign was the comedy campaign. In this campaign, there was one guy who had just started as a comedian. We were the first one to discover his talent. We uploaded his performance video during our campaign and he got a wider recognition.

What is your biggest achievement?

I feel confident now because I can see myself in the eyes when I look in the mirror. Observing the growth I’ve witnessed in myself from school time to now, I feel proud of myself and this gives me immense confidence. This will perhaps be my most important accomplishment.

When I first started my career, the three startups that I worked with failed. I thought that I won’t be able to succeed. But instead of giving up, I changed my strategy and attitude. This helped me overcome the fear of failure and ultimately led me towards success.

Would you like to share any memorable moment with us?

There is one memorable moment which keeps motivating me to do more. I was invited as a delegate to a conference held in November 2015 at SRCC. In August 2017, we invited the same speaker to our event as well.  In conversation with him, I told him that I pushed myself and grew a lot after attending his conference. He was so overwhelmed by my story that he recorded my interview right there. He later posted the video on Facebook as well. This was one of the best moments of my life. Being interviewed by the mentor who motivated me felt like an accomplishment and was a deeply moving experience for me.

Would you like to give any suggestion to the youngsters?

One thing that I would always suggest to everyone is to explore their own potential. We are often hesitant about experimenting and end up settling for mediocre achievements. If you don’t believe that you can do or perform something, then you won’t be able to do it.

 Jaha tak tumhari soch hogi…. Wahi tak Tum sochoge…

Life can’t be limited by age, it’s our own mindset that limits us. We can imbibe something from everything and everyone. Our generation has access to the internet which gives us open access to so many things- videos, books and other sources as well. This will make us more dynamic and invigorated.

Any future plans or future goals which you would like to fulfill?

I am currently studying for CFA and I aspire to go into the field of finance.

Moreover, I would like to devote more time and attention to Rising Bharat so that we would be able to reach out to wider and more diverse audience.

Q.2 Where do you get your Inspiration from?

Everything and anything, I know this sounds vague but honestly, my inspiration doesn’t come from just one place for me, sometimes it’s from watching other creators, sometimes it comes from something that happened in my life or around me, I just keep my eyes wide open AT ALL TIMES.

Q.3 What do you love most about MakeUp?

Makeup? haha ask me about fashion  But for makeup, man I dolove a good blush and a good pink lipstick!
Fashion? I have a love-hate relationship with fashion (MOSTLY LOVE), somedays I’m Miranda Priestly from Devil Wears Prada, on the other days’ nobody can dare to take me out of my 7-8-year-old torn house t-shirt, you know comfort is key.

Q.4 What famous artists have influenced you, and how?

I remember being heavily influenced by Bethany Mota (YouTuber) when I had just started YouTube but then I shortly realized that I have a deep interest in Cinematography and Vlogging, Casey Neistat has been a huge inspiration. The inspirations are mainly from the YouTube/ Blogging industry.

Q.5 If you weren’t a YouTuber, What else would you do?

I would probably be pursuing Science and would currently be studying genetic engineering.

Q.6 What is the most important beauty advice that you can give to Women?

WEAR IT WITH CONFIDENCE, AND ALWAYS PUT COMFORT FIRST. It’ll go a long way!

Q.7 What has been the biggest challenge of your career?

Getting more people to discover me and my art.

Q.8 What advice can you give to prospective students thinking about an education and career in Blogging World/YouTube?

Don’t do it if you think it’s easy fame. It’s a 24×7 job and you practically are never free. If you’re not a 100% passionate about
creating content, don’t do it!

A six-year-old boy from Pune has set a record by becoming the youngest mountaineer from Maharashtra to reach the Mount Everest base camp, proving that one should never limit one’s dreams. The student of Class 1, Advait Bhartiya reached the base camp on November 3 after a 13-day long expedition. The base camp is located in northeast Nepal, 17,593 feet above the sea level. Advait is also the youngest Indian to reach the spot in winter. He was accompanied by his mother Payal Bhartiya, an avid trekker herself. She answers for us:-

1. How did this journey for Advait began? Was it a chance?

Initially, I had planned to go to the base camp alone but Advait insisted on joining me. I told him that he could join if he managed to train and prepare for it. For the next month, his training included climbing 100 floors daily.

2. Being a mountaineer yourself what do you think about this journey of Advait?

For an adult, this is usually an incredible feat, with not just the mountain trails to deal with but also the thin air, reduction in atmospheric oxygen and subzero temperatures dropping to about 8 to -12 degrees C at times. But for young adventurers of this age, this truly a surreal achievement.

3. Is he involved in any other activity apart from mountaineering?

He is actively involved in other sports like football, swimming, martial arts and plays multiple musical instruments like violin, piano, and table. He speaks multiple foreign languages and youngest certified child to write Mandarin.

4. As far as you can remember what was the most heart enduring moment for Advait?

The thing that Advait enjoyed the most was that he was able to do something so tough, so he felt a sense of accomplishment. While he was there, he commented that you can’t capture this beauty in a camera. His favorite moment was when once he was answering nature’s call and he actually looked up to find a Himalayan barking deer over his head, so he felt very very excited and I think its left a permanent indelible mark in his head.

5. What was the toughest memory of Advait’s climb to the base camp?

The thing that Advait found toughest was the breathing part, because as adults we know to breathe in through the nose and out through the mouth but Advait had it tough. He was left panting often. He had to learn how to breathe in through his nose and out through his mouth. Then at night, sometimes he would feel suffocated but he had the maturity to sit up and stay calm, and take deep breaths. He also used to feel very thirsty at night. And I think on the seventh or the eight day I told him not to wake me up and he picked up his mug and put it to his mouth in the middle of the night and he realized there is no water coming. He touched it and it had frozen. So then he held it inside his sleeping bag and waited till it melted and then he had it. So that was very mature on his part to have done that.

6. What has Advait and the family planned next to conquer?

Advait has long-term plans to return to Everest and attempt the climb to the summit. In the meantime, he has set his sights on the only slightly less ambitious targets of summiting Mt Kilimanjaro in Tanzania and Mt Elbrus in Russia.

What is poetry for you? And what according to you is the most important quality that one should have to become a poet?

Poetry according to me is anything which let us being us, Poetry is an expression of freedom of one self. Poetry is an art of sharing wisdom, Poetry is everything which makes us, us.

To be very honest I don’t consider myself to be a poet or an artist for several reasons, one of which is that I am still learning Poetry.

But a quality I believe all poets should and must have in them is that they should be like their Poetry.

What are your writings mainly based on? And where from do you get the ideas to start off with the writings?

My so called poems mainly revolve around various social issues, issues which disturb the stillness of my soul. I write to keep myself sane and for nothing else. My first poem was about the refugee crisis, the Syrian war made me write, it disturbed me so much that I was in depression, writing about it helped me a lot.

What is Spill Poetry about? Tell us something about its history?

Waise toh, I don’t feel that I deserve to give any advice to any writer, but I would want to share what I have learnt from my journey; “Don’t write for the internet because it’s a balloon, it will blow up someday, write because it disturbs you, write because when it feels like if you don’t write your head will blow up, Write because you don’t want to regret it later, Write when nothing goes right, write to be heard, write to be un-herd, write to be you!!”

1.What has been the most fulfilling part of your journey with ShoutMeLoud?

Harsh: If I have to say one thing, that would be “It made me discover myself” else I would have been working for a big company from 9-6 and living somebody else’s life.

2.What was the toughest part to learn about blogging?

I remember, there used to be a blog by an Indian blogger name Mani Karthik who used to share great tips on SEO. For first few months, I spent reading his blog (It’s no more on the internet) & many other blogs that were about blogging & online marketing. This is the same thing I recommend to all the young bloggers; spend your initial days sharpening your skills, rather than getting worried that their blog is not growing.

3.Why did you choose to blog about blogging? Why that particular theme?

Harsh: I started ShoutMeLoud as a technology blog. Back in those days there were very few blogs in the blogging & WordPress theme, and most of my time was utilized to find a solution for any queries related to blogging, WordPress, and SEO. I started documenting those unique findings as a blog post, and later they started becoming more popular among readers. The shift happened gradually and from a hardcore tech blog, it become an A-Z solution of blogging.

4.What is your Life Mantra?

One of my mantra of life is “Never take advice from someone who have not walked into my shoes or been into the similar situation”.

5.Share your work-from-home experiences with us.

After first few years, many of my known people recommended to have an office, which would help to grow the business. I can’t deny the importance of having an in-house team, but I couldn’t keep up with going to the office.  I have a home-office & this is where I do all my activities. When it gets monotonous, me any my team go out to do fun stuff.

6.Have there been times when you regretted taking the decision to opt this as your career? How did you shake yourself off from it?

That was only when I lost traffic due to Google panda penalty. I was depressed as I was unsure how the future will unfold. I’m happy that I didn’t lost the focus back then.

Sikanto Mandal’s early morning duties at school were a little different from that of other children who indulge in prayer and lessons. At the Jai Gurudev Sanstha School in Mathura, which provides subsidized education to underprivileged children, Sikanto and his classmates first cleaned their school premises. Sikanto is in 9th standard still aspiring to make his idea a global hit.

1. What inspired you to build a garbage carrying machine at such a tender age?

Usually, girls swept the ground and boys collected the garbage and then dumped it. I observed how many of my friends hesitated to touch and lift the garbage with their bare hands. This set me thinking and urged me to innovate something that would solve our garbage collection woes.

2. How is your device better, efficient, and unique compared to other similar products in the market?

All the other devices in the market are mechanical and are run either on battery or fuel. My cart is completely manual, light-weight, and easy to operate. I have also provided customized spaces in the cart where people collecting garbage can keep the broom, a water bottle and other waste materials they might pick on their way. A picker that aids in collecting garbage without touching it, a gripper and a handle which upon operating helps in the easy dumping of the garbage without having to completely topple the cart.

3. How and when did people start appreciating your efforts towards the environment?

First exhibited at the district level of the Inspire Awards, my garbage-collecting model won several accolades and was also selected for display at the state and national level. In 2016, I exhibited my model at the National level in Delhi as one of the three entries from Uttar Pradesh.

4. How did NIF help you built your dream on the larger scale?

NIF then helped me build a proper prototype (made of metal) of his product and market it to potential enterprises. The technology behind the mobile waste-collecting device is now transferred to Sarjan Innovators Pvt Ltd, a Gujarat-based startup. We are keen on beginning the mass production of this device soon. The Swachhta cart enables a very professional way of garbage collection with a certain ease of labor in reduced time.

5. How did you start building the machine from scratches?

I scrapped together old furniture to make the first model and tested it in school for the first time. I then exhibited his invention at the district level of the Inspire Awards, which was met with praise. Soon after I was invited to showcase his creation at the state and national level.

6. Even as a kid you think success as all oriented towards the betterment of the family. How?

If you visit the small ancestral land we have back in West Bengal; you’d see a makeshift structure without a solid roof. An old rugged blanket which serves as its ceiling is often blown away by strong wind currents. It is the only place we can call our own home. One day, I will build a pukka house where the dilapidated structure stands. My brother will no longer have to work at the factory. He will complete his B.Sc and earn his degree, and my parents won’t have to work two jobs to make ends meet.

7. How is your garbage collecting machine is different from Nagar Palika Garbage collection?

Even the Nagar Palika garbage collection vehicle requires four sanitation workers in spades to manually pick the waste and dump it in its container. And this use of additional manpower and the risk of picking waste with bare hands or rudimentary tools can be tackled with the Swachhta cart which only requires two people to operate it. Besides, it can pick all kinds of waste.

What are your views on the fact that emotion plays a prime role for the authors and the poets?

  I believe emotion drags the inner thought process for every author or poet. Every poem or a story has a background emotion that draws the reader to read. Writing without emotion would just be a paper with words jumbled up making no sense. Emotion play the most vital role in gathering substance for poem or a story. Readers and writers connect by the emotion being portrayed in the writing.

What would you say is your interesting writing quirk?

I generate my thoughts based on imagination and people around. My writing quirk comes from the way I observe, simplify and process them into words. I write about, love, nature, pain and society mostly.

Your work is somehow connected to love directly or indirectly. Most of the Authors or Youtubers have been writing or talking about such topics often. So, what makes your stance and views regarding it unique from others?

Five fingers aren’t the same. The way I interpret my observation and imagination will always be different than the others and so will theirs be. I have always written what I feel. Hardly, two writers have similar way of thinking about the same emotion.

We writers are a community where we portray the same emotion but in different ways and that’s what keeps us going. Some writers prefer to spread their emotion into a page full of words and some prefer to fill three lines. Every writer has his uniqueness in arranging words.

“Maybe the Sun and the Moon were never meant to be with each other “, how do such thought provoking ideas come to your mind and how do you find such a perfect metaphor or simile to beautifully portray it?

This thought had always struck me. If two people can fall in love, two atoms can be a molecule then two celestial bodies can be together too. But this thought could never be real as one lights us in day and the other reflects its light in the night. That made me to conclude, there are times when two people or atoms or heavenly bodies fall in love but due to certain circumstances cannot be with each other and we should respect those circumstances and let them be.

Can you describe the time when you first realized that poetry was something you absolutely had to do?

I had no idea, I would become a poet someday, until people told me that my writings connect to them in varied emotional levels. And in that moment I felt if one relates to even a single poem of mine and it helps him then why not? Since then I have been writing.

How does a poem begin for you; with an idea, a form or an image?

At times its an idea or expression that comes to mind or sometimes its an image that I see or an illustration.

Is there any difference between the old age poets and the modern day young poets? What and which one do you prefer personally?

Yes, there are differences between old age and modern young poets. Usage of words, playing with them, not having restrictions of poetic languages, etc. I prefer both personally, as poets of eighteenth and nineteenth century have a way of bringing the emotion to the table. They make sure of the transitions between stanzas and flow of the poem. Poets of our generation, we prefer minimalizing usage of words while portraying the same meaning. I read both kinds.

Two roads diverged in a wood, and I—

I took the one less travelled by,

And that has made all the difference”

Mention one incident where you had to face such a situation and that made all the difference today.

The incident is still ongoing; the differences, still brewing. I have been a person who likes to do things his own way. Currently, I am trying to find my way out of the societal laws of 9-5pm job and try fulfilling my travel wishes. These differences are basic learning one needs to understand. If I had taken admission in to medical education, I wouldn’t have ever realized my poetic side.
