Be BOLD ! Be FIERCE ! Be your own HERO and this has always been his motto. I am talking about Rahul Gautam who was one of the Top contestant in the ever so popular MTV show ROADIES X5. We all are well aware about the concept of Roadies and the kind of dangerous and exciting tasks all the contestants have to perform there. The name gets our blood pumping and nerves cracking . So let’s dive right into this Daredevil’s story .
An Insight into his Early Childhood and Education : Rahul is from New Delhi, India. His idol since childhood is his Father and Guru Ji Amul Sagar Nath. He has done his schooling from Govt.Boys Sr.Sec School CR Park New Delhi. He has completed his graduation from Board Of Technical Education , New Delhi.

Q) How was your experience with Roadies Rising X5 and the judges of the show ?
My journey in Roadies Rising was really amazing that made me learn a lot of things about myself. I am glad I went for an experience like that. After all, if you don’t take the chance you never gain what you could have. One should always try something different and should never back down from anything challenging. I love being part of the events which involves testing my strength and fears and Roadies X5 is undoubtedly the best platform for that. Judges of the show are extraordinary, they uplift your spirits and guide you so well throughout all the tasks. The format of the show keeps changing pretty soon and you really don’t know what to expect, so you have to trust your mentor and play along.
Q) Rahul was Roadies always your dream and how many attempts it took you to get there?
In a show like Roadies which is such a huge youth focused platform and one of the longest running show in the history of Indian Television you have to be fully prepared and give it your best every single time until you make it to the top. I was selected in my third attempt and it really took a lot to prepare for the show. I wanted to be part of the show since childhood but had to work really hard on my body. I trained really hard in the gym and off-gym to have a fit and lean body so that I would excel in all the tasks. I believe in giving my 100% in anything I do.
Q) How is reel life different from real life and how do you think celebrities are in real life?
There is not very much difference in both . But, Yes Reel life as in Roadies Rising is a life time experience. It is kind of “Survival of the fittest”. You have to live with them and you have to compete with them. The mental pressure over there teaches you a lot of things. This journey was one of the most difficult journeys I had to embark upon but the lessons that I have learned from the Reel life will always guide me in my Real life now. Celebrities on the show are huge stars but they just deal with you as you are one among them. They all used to share their stories with us ranging from their early career struggle and worst decisions of their lives, and one can learn a lot of them and in reality they are just like normal human beings.

Q) How did you prepare before giving a final shot to Roadies X5 ?
I never really thought that this could be my final shot as I had already made two attempts before but i never let failure overpower my mind and heart. Instead I learnt from my mistakes in the past and made sure that I don’t repeat them the next time. The very first thing for me was to become fit and have a more lean and flexible body because earlier my body was very stiff. I used to do cross-fit and lift weights in proper supervision of the trainer. I focused much on my diet and my interview with the judges. I tried to remain as calm as possible and not expect much. My parents were always very supportive and my Father always guided me along.
Q) Rahul how your life has changed from being a Bus Conductor to a Roadies Contestant?
I was never ever a celebrity. I am same now as I were before Roadies. Nothing has changed much . I am a Bus Conductor now too by profession. But I have become more popular now as people love to take selfies with me and ask about my experience of roadies which is a great feeling for me . It has made me realize that anything is possible in life if you do it with dedication and hard work. i now want to do something different and rise up in my life.
