STYLING DIARIES- SHRADDHA OJHA

In conversation with the celebrity stylist Shraddha :

What are the requirements to become a fashion stylist?

Honestly speaking, I don’t feel there are any such ‘requirements’. It comes to you naturally! If you have a good sense of style and you are willing to learn and give it your all, you too can be a fashion stylist. But yes, you need to be updated with what’s going around in the fashion world and keep polishing your craft.

How do you involve yourself in this industry of celebrity stylist? And how do you feel working with the entertainment industry?

Everyone has different ways of getting into it. For me what works is observing international cinemas, learning from them and constantly working on my craft. Working in this fraternity is like a dream come true. Its beautiful how the entire industry works.

SUCH A FASHIONISTA- SHRADDHA OJHA

Whom did you implement your first work on in this industry? Was it successful?

That’s a very funny one! It was a Punjabi film and I had to style the lead pair of the film. By now I don’t really remember their names but the film never got released. So, yea I guess it wasn’t a very successful one.

Is there anyone whose work inspires you the most and you wish to follow him/her? If yes who and why?

Cristina Ehrlich!! Her work is next level. I am in awe of her sense of aesthetics. I have been learning a lot by just observing her work.

REDIFINING FASHION INDUSTRY- SHRADDHA OJHA

Since you’ve worked with many celebrities who’s your personal favourite, whom do you enjoy working with the most and why?

I love working with all of them. But if I have to name one it would be Sanskruti Balgude. There is never a dull moment with her and she loves experimenting with her looks so that gives the stylist a lot of scope to play.

What is your ultimate future goal in this field?

I just want to be known for my art! I just want people to remember me for everything I have done. I just want to leave a mark .

STYLING THE LEGEND- SHRADDHA OJHA

Who is your dream celebrity to style, anywhere in the world?

There are a lot of dreams if I start listing but I have to style Dalquer Salman and Priyanka Chopra atleast once!!

What are the struggles that you’ve faced to reach this position?

Life has been kind that way but yes everything you do involves some struggles and challenges. For me the challenges I faced were establishing contacts and making them believe in my work.

What are your biggest achievements in this field?

I have not achieved them yet. But I do have some that have brought me closer to my dreams. One of them is the event I styled for Asha Bhosale.

Is there any special memory you would like to share with us?

There was recent one when I was working on a project with Jonny Lever and another with Urmila Matondkar. They are legends and when you get to work with them its total magic.

Any fashion tips you would like to give the present young generation out there?

Never stop learning. Today you are good at it tomorrow you will be better and eventually the best. Nothing happens overnight, It requires a lot of patience and hard work. But you will definitely get there if you give it your all.
