Dhruvi Patel, a successful modern age poet and writer and is winning millions of hearts due to her literary masterpieces. Dhruvi is actually from a commerce background. She is a free soul and believes in writing her thoughts down. She believes that one should have the passion to read her own gut feeling. According to her, one should change the way of looking at a situation and should think in a positive manner, because the Art of Writing depends on the Art of Vision.
This girl from Bhavnagar, gives a new vision to others through her own words. She writes beautifully on her Instagram page of Gamble of Words. She is a Company Secretary by profession and resides in the beautiful city of Ahmedabad. This bubbly and chirpy writer is a popular face now and has a real inspiring story to tell. In Conversation with Dhruvi Patel :
At such a young age, you have written more than 400 quotes of your own. What exactly are you planning for?
I write because it is my passion. I would love to write more and more. I am planning to start writing blogs too. I am a Company Secretary by profession, and honestly like that work and will pursue my career in my profession but I’ll also make sure that I improve my writing skills as much as possible, and then launch my own Blog.
What according to you is the most important quality a person should have to become a poet or a writer?
According to me, a person should listen to the thoughts and feelings going in his or her head when they see something new that excites or inspires them or face any such similar situation. That thought should be given words. It is always innovative because it is original. I always see things and pen down whatever the first thought comes to my mind . So according to me, Originality and innovation are the key qualities for any person to become a writer or a poet.
When was the first time you realize that you have something to do with writing?
I never knew I had this in me. But one day I wrote some thought on my personal Instagram account. Many friends texted me and said that I should start writing as I have a unique style of presenting my thoughts. And that’s how I started. I started my page on 1st April so even I took it very lightly that I’ll fool everyone that I’m a writer. But once I started, I fell in love with my pen and paper, because they love me back so I started writing continuously.

What you write mostly on? And how do you get the ideas to start off with the writings?
I look at my surroundings and pen down whatever I feel. Basically, it is the gut feel. If we consciously look around in our surroundings then there are many things which go on. I just look at the things with a different perspective and then pen down my thoughts.
Whose writings inspire you the most and why?
Honestly, I don’t have much time to read. I stay busy with my work and in the rest of my time, I work on my Instagram page.
Is there any difference between the old age poets and the modern day young poets? If yes, what and which one do you prefer personally?
Art is never old or modern. It’s just that the thinking and approach towards things have changed with a change of time. But I respect the work of both the old age and modern age writers because they all are unique and special in their own ways. Personally, I like and admire the work of old age artists. The reason is I feel their work is way more mature. I love the way in which they present their ideas and feelings with so much of maturity, and that they are still applicable in these modern days. But the modern day writers present their ideas according to the present times and so I respect their work as well.
Do you think social media plays an important role in the career of a writer or a poet to get established? Reasons.
Social media is really very important. Initially, I didn’t knew that I will be so successful because I didn’t find myself so unique. But in just a span of 8 months, I have a huge following of more than 10000 followers. The love which I get inspired and motivates me to do more. So social media is really important. Just as the business needs the base of social media to establish themselves in the market, even the writers need the base of social media to publish their thoughts and work in front of huge audience.
