The PL120 belongs to the PL series of Samsung point and shoot cameras. The 14.2 megapixel camera has a CCD sensor installed for clicking pictures with clarity. The digital camera has a 5X Zoom Lens with focal length of 4.7 - 23.5 mm and 26 - 130 mm in the 35 mm equivalent format. You can zoom your camera up to 5x optically to view the entire field or area instantly. This Samsung camera weighs 110 g and can easily fit in your bag or pocket during trips. You can also record High Definition videos using this digital camera at the resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels (30 fps). The PL120 has made it a cakewalk for you to capture self-portraits as it has a dynamic dual display feature. Apart from the regular 2.7-inch Intelligent LCD with resolution of 230,000 dot pixels, this camera also has a 1.5-inch Front LCD with resolution of 61,000 dot pixels. You can easily preview the self-portraits and capture yourself with more clarity with the help of the Front LCD. Battery, Storage and Connectivity The Samsung PL120 has a rechargeable BP70A battery and an internal memory of 30 MB. You have the freedom to extend the storage space of your camera by using the SD and SDHC media cards. Performance This point and shoot camera has TTL contrast detection Auto Focus with modes like normal, macro and auto-macro. The normal mode ranges between 80 cm (Wide) and 100 cm (Tele), the macro mode between 5 - 80 cm (Wide) and100 - 150 cm (Tele) and the auto-macro mode between 5 cm (Wide) and 100 cm (Tele). You can capture pictures even in low-light situations as PL120 can automatically adjust its sensitivity between ISO 80 - 3200. The Smart Face Recognition technology automatically focuses on the subjects for clarity shots. The PL120 also includes technologies like Red-Eye Reduction, Motion Detection and Self-Timer with 2 - 10 seconds delay. The Front LCD installed in the camera will get turned on when the Self-Timer mode is selected.
