  • Push it in till your finger feels your skin. 
  • Then, push the thinner half of the applicator upwards with the index finger. ( you will feel the tampon move a few inches up) Stop when the thin layer meets the thicker one. 
  • Now just softly tug the applicator out. ( Don’t flush the applicator)
  • Finally, take a deep breath and check for your comfort. 

And you are good to go!

4. So how to Remove the Tampon? And things to keep in Mind 

  • Make sure you change the tampon regularly. Don’t let it stay for more than 5 hours max.
  • Gently pull the string at the end of the tampon. It shouldn’t be that painful. 
  •  And then dispose of the tampon pad.

It’s best to change your tampon pad every 4-5 hours max. Though it’s okay to let it sit for a maximum of 6 hours, to be on the safer side consider the time limit to be 4-5 hours. Leaving it for any longer duration can cause Toxic shock syndrome commonly known as TSS.
