Nikhil Sachdeva, a tattoo artist, is the winner of Roadies X1 and also a finalist of Splitsvilla 9. He has a tattoo studio in Mumbai and he is a big follower of Lord Shiva and Jesus Christ. He has seen a lot of ups and downs in his life before reaching to the position and fame he has right now.

In conversation with Nikhil Sachdeva:

1. Were you let down by the fact that you were rejected in Roadies X due to weight issues ? How did it feel coming back in the next season ?

Ans. I was not let down. I was disappointed knowing that I could be rejected on such issues. As I did’nt see Roadies like that, and later I realized that the competition was too tough and I had to be really fit for that. The feeling was great to have a come back after being rejected as I proved myself in front of everyone.

2. Talk about your Tattoo Studio. Why do you follow Lord Shiva and Jesus Christ’s tattoos ?

Ans.  When I went to Nepal, I got a tattoo done and that’s when I realised that I can make better tattoos than the one who made mine. That is where it came from. There is no particular reason as to why I follow Lord Shiva and Jesus Christ. I have completed my schooling from a Catholic School and maybe that is the reason why I follow Jesus Christ. And I follow Lord Shiva as I have strong belief on him, as he is the creator and the destroyer.

3. Talk about your experience as the winner of Roadies X1. How has it changed your life?

Ans. It is one of the finest feeling to be declared as the winner of such a prestigious show. I am really grateful to God to give me such an opportunity. I still meet fans and it feels great and gives me a reason to carry on. If I was able to inspire even two people, I think my life there was worth it. Roadies was the best experience of my life. Roadies is a commercial show now, but when Raghu was a part of it, It was the only Reality Show.

4. How different is the Roadies’ experience as compared to splitsvilla’s? How different are the tasks?

Ans. Roadies and Splitsvilla are two different shows. Roadies is raw, there is roughness. It’s like a one man’s army. Where you have to be like a Rhinocerous and walk alone without fear and be a tough fighter. Splitsvilla is a team’s work. There is strategy in Splitsvilla whereas Roadies is totally different.

5. Were you let down by the fact that you couldn’t win Splitsvilla, reaching the finals ?

Ans. I wasn’t really disappointed by the fact as I was playing as a team member. 5 of us came among 27 contestants and all of us were in the finals. I couldn’t perform as I didn’t have a girl with me. But I was very happy that Gurmeet won as he had the zeal for it.

6. Would you like to tell us something that your readers are not not aware of?

Ans. I started working at the age of 17 in the field of event management when my dad passed away. I have also worked in a call centre where I got kicked out as I punched a guy on his face. I have also worked as a cab driver as I feel that no job is big or small.

7. How did you manage to achieve so much in life ? Are you satisfied with where you are or aspire to achieve more ?

Ans. I have not achieved anything in life yet. I am still on the path of achieving and I have a long way to go. This is just the first ladder, the second one is  tougher.

8. What are your future plans? What have you decided to pursue?

Ans. I am coming out with my songs very soon. I am writing songs from 3 and a half years, lets see how it turns out. I am also starting my tattoo studio in Goa very soon. Acting is on and off, but my main focus is my music. And that is the sole reason I am in this industry. I hope you guys like my music.
