1.  Tell us about the day when the tragedy happened? What were you doing at that time?

It happened on Jan.4, 2015. My mother was washing the floor in the house on second floor. I was studying on the first floor of the house.

2. How did the sequence of events take place?

My mother tried to unplug the invertor with her wet hands, she instantly felt a very strong electric shock. She fell down unconscious with her left hand stuck to the live electric wire. My father rushed out and tried to pull the wire with a towel but the towel was partially wet and he too felt the current.  I was studying on the first floor when I heard all the commotion. As I rushed upstairs, my mother’s eyes were red and wide open with no movement. As I tried to touch her, I too felt mild shock. I called out to the owner , requesting her to disconnect the electric supply from the mains. I took out the plastic mop and tried to detach the electric wire from my mother’s hand. I shifted the wire over the wooden dining table as the floor was wet.  My mother’s hand immediately fell on the floor and she regained consciousness, subsequently.
