After completing his graduation (Engineering) in 2014, Yashvardhan Goyal<\/strong> realised that this is not something that he wants to do for the rest of his life. Event management<\/strong> was something that interested him a lot. He started visiting event planners for jobs, but the response was not that good. But with his experiences in event management since first year of college, he landed with an event management company of his own “jRnyEntertainments”<\/strong> in 2015<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Yashvardhan \u00a0started his career as a freelance sponsorship manager for a Delhi base event management company. He worked there for almost two months. ”When I told about this to my parents they said \u201ctent wala banega<\/i>\u201d, \u201cEngineering karke koi ijjat ni degaa<\/i>\u201d. But in the end I chose to follow my dreams & today I am happy that I took that decision.”
\nSince November, 2014 he started pitching for \u00a0college fests \u00a0& cracked IIT Bhubaneswar<\/strong> as the first event with IIT And Pakistani singer Falak shabir. A concert attended by more than 15000+<\/strong> Students. With exclusive artist management to writing around 200 poetries he is a true example of dream chasers.<\/p>\n

Q:\u00a0When\u00a0did\u00a0event\u00a0management\u00a0interest\u00a0you?\u00a0What\u00a0triggered\u00a0you\u00a0to\u00a0take\u00a0this\u00a0as\u00a0your\u00a0professional\u00a0career?<\/h3>\n

In\u00a0the\u00a0second\u00a0year\u00a0of\u00a0my\u00a0college\u00a0journey, I\u00a0got\u00a0the\u00a0chance\u00a0to\u00a0lead the organizing\u00a0committee\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0fresher’s party. It\u00a0was\u00a0a\u00a0great\u00a0learning\u00a0experience\u00a0and it \u00a0 \u00a0 made\u00a0me\u00a0realize\u00a0that\u00a0engineering\u00a0as\u00a0a\u00a0profession\u00a0is\u00a0not\u00a0something\u00a0that\u00a0I\u00a0want\u00a0to\u00a0do\u00a0for\u00a0the\u00a0rest\u00a0of\u00a0my\u00a0life. The dynamic\u00a0nature\u00a0of\u00a0event\u00a0management interested\u00a0me\u00a0a\u00a0lot. I\u00a0was\u00a0happy\u00a0seeing\u00a0young\u00a0talent\u00a0of\u00a0the\u00a0first\u00a0year\u00a0performing\u00a0to\u00a0their\u00a0best.\u00a0From\u00a0there\u00a0only\u00a0Artist\u00a0management came\u00a0into\u00a0my\u00a0perspective.\u00a0I\u00a0love\u00a0being\u00a0surrounded\u00a0by\u00a0artists,\u00a0I\u00a0feel\u00a0that\u00a0being\u00a0an\u00a0event\u00a0manager,\u00a0it\u2019s\u00a0our\u00a0responsibiliy to\u00a0develop the artists. After\u00a0this\u00a0realization,\u00a0here\u00a0I\u00a0am,\u00a0doing a full time Artist\u00a0&\u00a0Event\u00a0Management.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Q: When did you find the company? How was the support from family?<\/span><\/h3>\n

I\u00a0started\u00a0my\u00a0Company\u00a0in\u00a0January,\u00a02015.\u00a0<\/span>There\u00a0was\u00a0no\u00a0support\u00a0from\u00a0the\u00a0family\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0intial\u00a0days,\u00a0they\u00a0used\u00a0to\u00a0say “kya kar\u00a0rha\u00a0h??\u00a0Engineering\u00a0ki\u00a0lga\u00a0rha\u00a0he…\u00a0koi\u00a0ijjat\u00a0ni\u00a0dega\u00a0.tent\u00a0wala\u00a0bangea??\u00a0\u201d\u00a0. But still I chose to pursue my dreams.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Q: What type of events have you managed during your college life? One best thing you learned from your experiences that’s still guiding you through?\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

During my student life, I used to manage College\u00a0Cultural\u00a0Fest\u00a0and\u00a0Freshers\u00a0party. \u00a0The one best thing I learned from the experiences is professionalism into my works that is still guiding me through.<\/p>\n

Q: What were the initial struggles that you faced during your journey so far?\u00a0<\/span><\/h3>\n

As\u00a0I\u00a0am\u00a0from\u00a0an\u00a0Engineering\u00a0background,\u00a0nobody\u00a0was\u00a0willing\u00a0to\u00a0give\u00a0me\u00a0work,<\/strong>\u00a0but\u00a0I\u00a0worked\u00a0hard\u00a0understood every\u00a0possible\u00a0detail\u00a0about\u00a0managing\u00a0an\u00a0event\u00a0through\u00a0my\u00a0limited\u00a0resources.\u00a0In\u00a0the\u00a0end, I\u00a0got\u00a0the\u00a0chance\u00a0to\u00a0manage an event at IIT\u00a0Bhubaneswar,\u00a0that proved to be a \u00a0big\u00a0turning\u00a0point\u00a0in\u00a0my\u00a0career.<\/p>\n

Q: Tell us about the experience of your first major breakthrough. How important was it for you?<\/h3>\n

Any\u00a0IIT<\/strong>\u00a0is\u00a0a\u00a0big\u00a0trademark\u00a0term\u00a0when\u00a0it\u00a0comes\u00a0to\u00a0colleges,\u00a0managing\u00a0that\u00a0event\u00a0was\u00a0a\u00a0big\u00a0task,\u00a0with\u00a0limited\u00a0practical\u00a0knowledge\u00a0of\u00a0Events\u00a0.I\u00a0learnt\u00a0a\u00a0lot\u00a0from\u00a0that\u00a0event.<\/p>\n

Q: You chose to follow your dreams and finally took this decision. How do you feel about it today?<\/h3>\n

I\u00a0feel\u00a0satisfied,\u00a0Every\u00a0day\u00a0when\u00a0I\u00a0wake\u00a0up\u00a0there\u00a0is\u00a0only\u00a0one\u00a0thing\u00a0I\u00a0tell\u00a0myself\u00a0..\u201dI\u00a0am\u00a0doing\u00a0the\u00a0right\u00a0thing\u201d.<\/p>\n

Q: In respect of the above question, what important message you wold like to convey to the youth today?<\/span><\/h3>\n

One\u00a0quote\u00a0on\u00a0Facebook\u00a0\u00a0that\u00a0I\u00a0read\u00a0in\u00a0the\u00a0earlier\u00a0days\u00a0of\u00a0my\u00a0career\u00a0that\u00a0\u201cStop\u00a0thinking\u00a0start\u00a0doing\u00a0whatever\u00a0you\u00a0have\u00a0wherever\u00a0you\u00a0are\u201d.<\/p>\n

Whenever\u00a0I\u00a0travel to a\u00a0new\u00a0city and I get \u00a0to\u00a0interact\u00a0with\u00a0students, new\u00a0people,\u00a0professors, to\u00a0know\u00a0what\u00a0they\u00a0feel, what\u00a0singers\u00a0feel\u00a0&\u00a0every\u00a0show\u00a0comes\u00a0with\u00a0a\u00a0package\u00a0of\u00a0new\u00a0experience\u00a0&\u00a0learning for me.<\/p>\n
