Meet 24 years old Savita from Chandigarh for whom poetry is just a simple way of expressing her life stories. Other than being a rising poet she also works as an Apple Iphone Application Developer<\/strong>. Reading and writing were never her best companion when she was young, it was drawing painting and other creative things that she loved doing. Growing up to become a computer science\u00a0 engineering student was also not on her list of choices, it was arts that she wanted to pursue. But life as we say always takes a twist. She managed to balance both her engineering field and creative or rather poetic talent together. “Struggle, and never run away from it. Do things that satisfy you and make you happy” says Savi.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

1.\u00a0<\/b>What according to you is the most important quality a person should have to become a poet or a writer?<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

We all are writers, creators and story tellers. It is very natural and is a human trait but some are able to do it much better than others because they have observance and learning. You must not just breathe and pass through but live and experience, when you do that you definitely want to share how it feels, what it made you, how it changed you. For me to feel is the most important quality, you got to have emotions, honest human emotions. Your passion, your love for just one thing can teach you all the rest about the world.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0<\/b>Can you describe the time when you first realised that this was something you absolutely had to do?<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I have not yet realized what is it that I absolutely have to do and I guess I will never be absolute in my life or in my realizations. Time changes so do I. Writing for me is not a task it is what I love to do. I live I write I feel I write and I am getting better at it day by day because I am doing it from years. In my childhood I use to write diary (journals) with my daily life captured in words. It is just that now I write in a more beautiful, precise and poetic way.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0<\/b>What are your writings mainly based on? And how do you get the ideas to start off with the writings?<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

My writings are based on the girl that I look up in mirror every day, the girl that goes to work, looks after her family, friends, falls in and out of love. I basically as a second person write about my own story a lot of people are able to relate to it because we all go through same stuff, have same feelings and know the lessons.<\/p>\n

4. Whose writings inspire you the most and why?<\/b><\/strong><\/h3>\n

I have read books of Sylvia path how she described her illness and hospital. I have mostly read self help books of Deepak Chopra, Robin Sharma. The idea that they can actually write such motivational books and are so sure that if you do this, follow these rules your life will change or get better at least surprises me , through words they take control and their ideas of life will be followed and lived by thousands. We never seek within but always outside. I have read many other books randomly but there is no such book or author that inspired me. I am always inspired by my own self nobody else have that power.<\/p>\n

5. What do you try to communicate through your writings ?<\/h3>\n

Love, Life and time, to stay strong and be wise are what I always try to write about. Even if I am writing on sadness I still in the end give it a curve of positivity and that it all will be good, if not it\u2019s a lesson you lived. All I try to communicate is hope and faith because that is what at times I need the most.<\/p>\n

6. Is there any difference between the old age poets and the modern day young poets? Is yes ,what and which one do your prefer personally!<\/h3>\n

Not any difference but lot of difference, old age poets are more wise and honest about life realities. There humor is unmatched and there wit cannot be found in young poets.<\/p>\n

7. What was your first writing about and how did you come up with it?<\/h3>\n

My first writing was a long poem that I rhymed standing in my college lawn watching birds and trees. I was in love at that time so I connected with everything, now that is the way how I live everyday in love with myself, the journey has been long but I finally did fall for myself.<\/p>\n

8. Do you think social media plays an important role in a career of a writer or a poet to get established? Reasons!<\/h3>\n

Well yeah I first started a blog wrote over a 100 poems got appreciated had followers and people messaging me its good. I got inspired and felt at home those appreciations from strangers do helps you to just go with the flow. Social media is a platform where you can reach over thousands of people and realize how similar we all are as they do connect with your words and ideas.<\/p>\n

9. Is writing more of a passion or profession for you?<\/h3>\n

Writing is my passion and it is very personal to me. This is the reason I am actually struggling to make it my profession and actually earn pennies from it.<\/p>\n

10. Any message you would like to give to others?<\/h3>\n

If I can do it so can anybody. Just listen to your soul the path we all crave for is already paved we just need to discover it and walk it with strength love and care. That all is what I know and do, rest all is history and worldly stories. You can do anything to earn bread but you can\u2019t do anything to be happy and be satisfied. It\u2019s a struggle and one should never try to run away from it.<\/p>\n
