The personality we are going to talk about has faced the above and has now adapted herself into a strong and successful persona. Ruma Sharma<\/strong> belongs to a Hindu Brahmin family and was raised by her single mother. Ruma did her schooling from Lovely Public School<\/strong> in Delhi and is pursuing her second year in BA Programming<\/strong> from Delhi University. She is a pass out from the National School of Drama Teenagers Group.\u00a0<\/strong>Ruma has appeared in several advertisements. Some of them are with big brands like Idea, Triple Treat ice cream<\/strong> and India Diary.<\/strong> She has been featured in Fashion Herald Magazine<\/strong> as FH Freshface Feature<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Ruma<\/strong> did her first show as a lead in Shree Ram Centre Auditorium of Delhi at the age of six. She was later cast in the\u00a0Star Gold<\/i><\/strong> series. Her second show was Jasoos Vijay<\/strong>\u00a0produced by BBC World<\/strong>. She also acted opposite Rajat Tokas in the DD1 show Rahul as Tulsi. After that she appeared in the DD1 Show\u00a0Zara si Baat<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0by Tiny Production and 2009 Movie\u00a0Dimag Ki Dahi<\/i>\u00a0as a child artist. After completing her 12th, she shifted to Mumbai to concentrate on her acting career. Ruma has done series like Fear Files Darr ki Sachii Tasvirein,\u00a0Savdhan India<\/strong>,<\/i>\u00a0and Shapath<\/strong>. She also appears in the MTV<\/strong> Show Kaisi Yeh Yaarian\u00a0<\/strong>as Riddhima<\/strong>.\u00a0Ruma is the main lead of the short film\u00a0The Tale of the Boy and Two Nights<\/i><\/strong>\u00a0(2014).\u00a0She has recently shot for an episode of\u00a0Code Red<\/i>\u00a0on Colors<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

1.) Ruma ,tell us something about your childhood. What were your dreams at that time and about your school life?<\/h3>\n

I\u2019m A Single Parent Daughter<\/strong> but during my childhood I never realized how difficult it is for a mother to up bring a child all alone. My mother never let me face anything during my childhood but now when I\u2019m an adult and know the things about our society I understood the fact how difficult it is for a mother to up bring her child all alone. During my childhood my Dream was to Become a Doctor<\/strong>. Later on I realized that Books were not my Cup Of Tea.<\/strong> I completely belong to creative team. And about my School life, due to financial issues, I Dropped my school when I was in 10th because of high Fees. I never wanted to be a burden on my mother’s shoulders. So, I decided to pursue my studies Privately<\/strong> ( through correspondence).<\/p>\n

2.) How do you manage all your fans and followers? How much are you active on Social media platforms?<\/h3>\n

I really don\u2019t need to manage my fans and followers. They all are just like my family, So in that case \u201cmanage\u201d doesn’t come in my dictionary, I Love them and like to take care of them<\/strong>. Its been a year that I have become much more active on Instagram<\/strong> after receiving so much of love from the people. So It’s my duty to take care of the likes and comments and keep my lovely followers entertained.<\/p>\n

3.) Which Ad films and T.V shows you have been a part of? Which one was your favorite and why?<\/h3>\n

I have been part of several ad films with brands like idea, Triple Treat ice cream etc. My favorite T.v. show will be Kesi Yei Yaarain<\/strong> (on MTV). It was my first show on T.v. and favorite too. I was there for just 3 months in the show but the fans of the show still love and remember me as Ridhima<\/strong> of Kesi Yei Yaarian<\/strong>. What else an actor needs when fans still remember Ridhima<\/strong> of the show.<\/p>\n

4.) We all have support systems for us. Who’s been your supporter throughout this journey so far?<\/h3>\n

My \u201cMother\u201d<\/strong>. It’s hard to express my feelings for her… I have never expressed my feelings to her nor I think I can ever but she is the most precious part of my life and she has always supported me. It is so difficult to be a single mother in today’s society as people will always judge you, no matter what and she has always been very strong throughout. She has supported my choices and she has given me the confidence to live my life the way I want to. She never asks any questions and always loves and supports me endlessly.<\/p>\n

5.)What’s your dream project to work on? What are your current undergoing projects?<\/h3>\n

Every girl dreams of her dream man but I dream for my Dream Girl. Undoubtedly, I\u2019m very much straight but I don’t mind saying I have a fan girl crush on Kareena Kapoor Khan popularly known as Bebo. My dream project is to share screen space with her. She is just amazing and love her acting, personality, looks , voice and the hard work she puts in her every project. Now, when she has a son and she has again become so toned and lean; she’s serving as a fitness inspiration to me and many. Even she is mother, actress, wife and sister goals fro me.<\/p>\n

6.) Ruma, being in the modeling industry; what are the negative aspects of this industry that you’ve discovered ?<\/h3>\n

Why at the age of 30 actresses become mothers on screen and actors even at the age of 40-50 remain the Hero.
\nThis hard fact about the film and the modelling industry has always surprised me and this really makes me wonder that why in India people are so obsessed with the age of female models and actors. This is highly unfair and we should learn something from our Hollywood pears where age is no barrier and talent is the only main criteria people look for.<\/p>\n

7.)What are your best achievements so far?<\/h3>\n

Achievements keep changing with time for me and someday I am no longer excited about things I’ve achieved so far but one moment I will always remember for the rest of my life will be meeting my idol Kareena Kapoor Khan ma’am. I’m working super hard so that I can share space with her onscreen one day.<\/p>\n
