Martin Luther King Jr. wrote in a letter he sent from the Birmingham Jail,”True peace is not merely the absence of tension but it is the presence of Justice.” In other words, Real peace is more than just problems being gone; there must be fairness to have peace.<\/h3>\n

The personality we have today is someone who talks about peace and ‘ALI’<\/strong> was his class apart work which was celebrated across borders by great personalities like Digvijay Singh. <\/strong>Darshan RAjPurohit\u00a0 <\/strong>is an an exceptional young talent who has brought pride to the Nation by his remarkable words. Mr. Digvijay Singh\u00a0<\/strong>posted on his Facebook<\/strong> wall praising him about his work. He started writing during his college days. He studied at Blossoms SunderBai Thakersey English School, Mumbai.<\/strong> His work “Ali”<\/strong> is a great example of how peace should be envisioned by humanity today and is a must watch for\u00a0India Pakistan<\/strong> peace lovers. \u00a0For those who have not yet listened to him can see him performing at the “Unheard”<\/strong>, which is going to take place on 24th<\/strong> September. <\/strong><\/p>\n

Let’s get started with this celebrated poet.<\/p>\n

1.) Darshan, your composition ‘Ali’ was praised and appreciated in Pakistan as well ! How does it feel to receive such appreciation for your efforts ?<\/h3>\n

Poetry<\/strong> means a lot more to me than just words. I’m attached to my poems like parents are attached with their children. So you can say, the appreciation makes me feel not only overwhelmed but proud too. The love from across the border shows the purpose, the aim of what I had written has been fulfilled. I wrote a message of peace and got love in return.<\/strong><\/p>\n

2.) When you perform, you totally loose yourself in your own words. What influences you to do so and perform with such a tremendous energy?<\/h3>\n

When I write, I get lost in a trance. You might have noticed all my poems are in first person point of view. Every poem has its own feel<\/strong> and i like to adapt its character. When I am in the character of the poem the energy automatically pours out on the stage. I have experienced this in my every performance and I am glad, people see the same upfront.<\/p>\n

3.) Which was your first composition? Please share a few lines of it?<\/h3>\n

My first poem was called Cheekhe and here are some lines from it:<\/p>\n

“Cheekhe<\/strong> aisi ke brahmand hil jaaye,
\nCheekhe<\/strong> tadapte uss aadmi ki jo dua kare maut mil jaaye.
\nCheekhe<\/strong> un maao ki jo apne bache khoti hai,
\nNa jaane inn cheekho<\/strong> ke beech kaise ye duniya chain se soti hai.”<\/h3>\n

4.) Darshan your Instagram page is full of hand written quotes. So, what shifted or diverted you towards it?<\/h3>\n

Its not a shift or a diversion. Writing is my escape<\/strong>, my way of life.<\/strong> I’m a poet and writing is my hobby, and what you saw on Instagram are fragments of my work. I enjoy writing to such an extent that I want to make my name in this field by doing something that has not been done before. I love experimenting with new forms of poems and I simply write from my heart. This will always stay the same.<\/p>\n

5.) Where do you get your ideas from ? Any quotes for this talent of yours ?<\/h3>\n

My aim is to write on something different; something unusual and speak of things left in the quiet for too long. That’s the reason I don’t usually write on love. My area of focus has always been social issues and mythology. Quote on this will be,”Meri har Kavita ke har shabd ki har maatra mei bhaav hote hai.”<\/strong><\/p>\n

6.) What are your thoughts on making a career in this field? What obstacles you would come across, if you do so?<\/h3>\n

I told you I treat my work, like a parent would treat their child. I wouldn’t want to be the kind of parent who’d sell his child to earn a living besides, I like to think of my myself as a realist. I feel passion doesn’t pay well in India, you can test your luck but its a long shot. I don’t know about anywhere else, but from where I am at the moment, it would be very difficult to survive with just writing.<\/p>\n

7.) The crowd always expects more, once you have given them the best shot. So what are you coming up with in the coming days?<\/h3>\n

I have two more pieces currently lined up. One talks about a very common yet very unheard social issue and another is on mythology (Lord Shiva). I’m hoping I’ll be able to live up to the expectations of the people once more. Love comes with a price<\/strong>. I have never been this nervous about my work before<\/p>\n
