Meet Harsh Kedia<\/strong>, the 20 year old popularly known as the “Diabetic Chef”<\/strong>, who has broken all chains of a diabetic patient and discovered the beauty of FOOD in a new way! Harsh lives in Mumba<\/strong>i and not only is he a chef, he also has a great interest in belly dancing. Harsh aims to join full time advertising.<\/p>\n

Harsh Kedia fell in love with cooking since 3rd grade. Kitchen was his ‘play-ground’. Well his heart was broken when at the age of 15<\/strong> doctors discovered that he had diabetes hence “donot eat this donot eat that” and so on. That is when he decided he had to change this. He\u00a0took a list of things he could eat and based on that he did his homework and started crafting delicious delicacies that were specially for diabetics and that gave birth to his Facebook page – \u2018A diabetic Chef.\u2019\u00a0<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

Where\u00a0did\u00a0you\u00a0get\u00a0the\u00a0concept\u00a0of\u00a0a ‘diabetic\u00a0chef ‘ ? We are really curious\u00a0to\u00a0know\u00a0about\u00a0it !<\/h2>\n

Diabetic Chef came up when I was 16 and was told I wasnt allowed to eat sweets and food outside my house, I took my passion and set backs as a push to start something againt the idea that diabetics can do everything. Which includes eating what they want!<\/p>\n

The concept of a diabetic chef came up as an insult when I was baking brownies at home and a friend asked me you\u2019re baking dessert who are you a diabetic chef?<\/p>\n

I\u00a0discovered\u00a0my\u00a0diabetes\u00a0when\u00a0I\u00a0was\u00a015.<\/p>\n

I’m\u00a0sure\u00a0it\u00a0wasnt\u00a0an\u00a0easy\u00a0journey.\u00a0So\u00a0tell\u00a0us\u00a0about the struggles \u00a0you’ve\u00a0faced !<\/h2>\n

A lot\u00a0of\u00a0struggles\u00a0actually.\u00a0Body\u00a0shaming, fat\u00a0shaming, colour\u00a0shaming, effeminate\u00a0behavior\u00a0shamed.<\/p>\n

NOT BEING ABLE TO EAT OUTSIDE!<\/p>\n

Not\u00a0being\u00a0able\u00a0to\u00a0talk\u00a0to\u00a0people.\u00a0Getting\u00a0pittied\u00a0by\u00a0these\u00a0lame\u00a0relatives.<\/p>\n

YES there is something funny actually!<\/p>\n

My\u00a0relatives\u00a0would\u00a0tell\u00a0me\u00a0to\u00a0go\u00a0out\u00a0and\u00a0play\u00a0with\u00a0other\u00a0boy\u00a0cousins\u00a0and\u00a0swim\u00a0and\u00a0stuff\u00a0when\u00a0I’d\u00a0want\u00a0to\u00a0cook. \u00a0Today\u00a0they\u00a0tell\u00a0their\u00a0children\u00a0to\u00a0learn\u00a0from\u00a0me\u00a0haha! :p<\/p>\n
