Nivedhana\u00a0 Prabhu\u00a0was a student\u00a0of Centre for Management Studies, Jain University. She has been born and brought up in Bangalore. She has been an anchor, reporter and producer at News 9<\/strong>. She is also a freelancer and also has been a Co-Anchor for Crictracker for Champions Trophy<\/strong>. She was also a voice over artist for packages and has interviewed various famous personalities\u00a0like Hrithik Roshan<\/strong>, Varun Dhawan<\/strong> and many more.\u00a0Besides, all these, she is also a trained dancer and also headed the Mount Carmel’s Western Dance Association. In academics also she has received a Gold Medal<\/strong> for topping in the University with a distinction<\/strong> in Bachelor of Mass Media.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. How was your experience working with news 9?<\/h3>\n

News 9 was one of the best platform for me to learn about Broadcast, Journalism because that’s something I always wanted to pursue. When I was studying Mass Communication, I was pretty sure I wanted to go for Television Broadcast, though Mass Media have so many different options. News 9 was the platform not only to know how Broadcast Journalism works but also to bring out the best in me. I was an anchor, producer, reporter as well as a voice over artist. Hence, it was a best platform for me to learn and grow.<\/p>\n

2.How do you feel on becoming the winner of UTV Hungama captain Hunt at a very young age?<\/h3>\n

It was one of the best moments of my life. My mom always told me and my brother that academics is important but building a Personality is also important in terms of Extra- Curricular activities. Dad came along with me for the auditions, I went there for experience and before I knew it, I was in top 36 which then went to 18<\/strong>. Siddharth Roy and Zarina Mehta were the judges, so the task was to VJ a show in a best possible way and this was something I never did before. I wrote a script and within 2 weeks of time, I got a call that I won. It was a great moment for me and I actually represented the whole of South India.<\/p>\n

3. What has been your practice schedule since you started in News 9?<\/h3>\n

My shift would be for 10 hours everyday. I was used to this kind of schedule because of my previous internship. I never had weekends and sometimes I even worked on holidays. I would like to tell all those people who are interested in this field, that if you enjoy partying and you are a social animal then this field will be tough for you.<\/p>\n

4. Whom do you consider your role model and whom do you look up to?<\/h3>\n

My parents and my brother are my support system. I come from a family business background. My parents have taught me three important things while I was growing up : Hard Work, Shortcuts would not lead you to success and give your best in whatever you do. My brother taught me to have an attitude of never giving up, trying new things and fighting against any problem that come your way. Professionally, I look upto Faye D Souza<\/strong>, the editor in chief of ‘Mirror now<\/strong>‘. She does straight Journalism and does not beats around the bush.<\/p>\n

5. According to you, which was\u00a0your best performance till date?<\/h3>\n

It was my happiest day and also my best performance when I interviewed Hrithik Roshan and Ayushman khurana<\/strong> and when the interview was over, they praised me for my work. I was so happy that Hrithik Roshan being my favourite actor praised me. This was my best and my happiest performance till date.<\/p>\n

6. How does your family take your success?<\/h3>\n

My family is very supportive and praises me for my good work and they also criticise me if needed, but that happens rarely. They keep me grounded and have given me the best of both: Criticism and Praising<\/strong>. My Mom always taught me that Failure is as important as success. They are very happy and proud of me for my success.<\/p>\n

7. What’s the one key event that changed your life completely?<\/h3>\n

When I was writing my board exam in 12th standard, we discovered that my mom had four blocked artery and she had to undergo a heart surgery. I wanted to do my graduation from Mumbai but when I heard the news, my whole world shook. I dropped the idea of going to Mumbai as I had to take care of my mom. So, Yes that was a turning point of my life. It made me grow and I decided whatever opportunities I get, I will work hard on it.<\/p>\n

8. What’s your message to the people who want to become successful like you at a young age and make their parents proud?<\/h3>\n

My only message to the people is have great work ethics, never look for shortcuts, never have the attitude that I know everything and always make your foundation very strong<\/strong>.
