There is a saying \u201cFor every hard working person, there is something big waiting to happen\u201d, the same happened to Sushmita Deshpande a gold medal medalist in academics<\/strong> for her under-graduation in JSS SMI, Karnatak University. She is an incredible dancer, artist and full of life! She loves traveling, shopping and art. She believes it\u2019s not necessary to pursue science to do something big in life. Her success story inspires student and every individual to do something productive.<\/p>\n

  1. How was your college life?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Ans. To describe in a word, it was always EXCITING. Because for me college was not just about studies. I was always involved in one or the other co-curricular activities like organizing events, fests, participating in youth festivals, various competitions and dance programs. I managed to study and score well but never wanted to be called as a nerd. The word All-Rounder always fascinated me and hence I always strived to be one through these activities.<\/p>\n

    1. Three years, a long time how did you cope up with studies and other things u did in your life?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      Ans. One thing I strongly believe in is Interest. I chose these three years and the activities to do with studies, hence I never felt any jostle. I loved to complete all the things and always enjoyed multitasking. I still remember my friends complaining that I miss all the hangouts and stuff due to my number of queued up events. But my happiness always lied in not missing any events that interested me.<\/p>\n

      1. What was your aspiration?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

        Ans. To enjoy my work, enjoy whatever I do and complete whatever I take-up.<\/p>\n

        1. What is your main source of inspiration?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

          Ans. Situations inspire me. If my last experience was good with a thing I take it up again so that I gain more happiness and if the last experience was bad I take it up again so that I change the last one.<\/p>\n

          1. How was the staff of your college? Mention some whom you really admire.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

            Ans. JSS SMI has the best staff. Lecturers and management is very supportive. I never remember my teachers or principal say a no to any of our ventures in extra-curricular. I admire each and every one who taught me at JSS SMI.<\/p>\n

            1. Did your parents and teachers cooperate with you on this?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

              Ans. whatever little accomplishments I have today is just because of the 100% cooperation of my parents and teachers. I owe it to them completely.<\/p>\n

              1. Have any plans of collaborating with anyone in the future.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                Ans. I like ticking off my things to do list! This has helped me gain some event management skills. I am presently interning in DNA Entertainment Networks. I have plans to continue there.<\/p>\n

                1. What are the challenges you faced?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                  Ans. Time was a challenge. To manage more than one activity and sometimes 2-3 activities on the same day was a challenge.<\/p>\n

                  1. You do dance as I remember, how did u manage that with studies?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                    Ans. \u00a0I did not manage dance but dance managed me. Dancing is my biggest passion. It\u2019s a stress buster for me. It helps me improve my focus. Even during my exams I used to go to practice. That helped me in change my mind for some time and enhance my concentration.<\/p>\n

                    1. Any influences or pressure.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                      Ans. I am rarely influenced or pressurized. I usually prefer going by my choices. I had changed the stream from science to commerce so my only goal was to excel so that I prove my choice right, not to anyone else but to myself.<\/p>\n

                      1. Future plans. <\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                        Ans. To earn well so that I can travel.<\/p>\n

                        1. The second you came to know you have won gold medal how did you feel?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                          Ans. When your efforts bear fruit you feel satisfied. So was I. I could finally answer to everybody\u2019s \u201cWhy BBA after Science?\u201d and extra-curricular spoils the studies.<\/p>\n

                          1. How did your parents and teachers react on this?<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                            Ans. Happiness knew no bounds. My Principal himself gave me a call to give this news nothing could have been better at that moment.<\/p>\n

                            1. Your aim\/goal.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

                              Ans. My only goal is to make everyday a holiday. That means to work in the field that interests me so that I don\u2019t feel it as a burden. Travelling, shopping and art give me happiness. My goal is to be happy!<\/p>\n
