Krishna Vikas,<\/strong> a 23 year old professional fitness consultant<\/strong> is a resident of Hyderabad and is a very easy going, positive minded and straight forward person. He believes in\u00a0sharing joy and happiness in the lives of underprivileged people and spreads the message of humanity to the world.<\/strong> He finds satisfaction in their happiness. While most of us spend money on things which we don’t really need, Krishna Vikas brings in a smile on the face of people by buying them those things which they long for.<\/p>\n

In talks with Krishna Vikas:<\/h4>\n

1) What made you begin the initiative “Stop Taking Start Giving” \u00a0initiative?<\/h3>\n

There is a small story behind “Stop taking Start giving”<\/strong>. Back in December 2014, I was on the bed down with an injury( a slipped disc). I was thinking how privileged I was to have such a caring family who took good care of me while on the contrary, I compared my position with those who were under privileged. I really wanted to do something, to bring about a change<\/strong>. I used to curse the government on how the things were running in the society. I knew my voice would go unheard and it would do nothing but go as a waste. I decided to bring about small changes around me that would inspire a few and motivate them to take steps towards humanity. That’s all what I wanted.<\/p>\n

2) What is the motive behind this initiative?<\/h3>\n

The main motive of the channel is\u00a0“the joy of giving is found in simplest of the things”<\/strong>, which basically helps me make videos centred upon making people smile, social experiments and feeding the homeless.<\/p>\n

3) Share with us any striking incident you came across.<\/h3>\n

One of the striking incident which I came across is when I made a video on Racism<\/strong>. For this I took the help of two African students.<\/strong>\u00a0Basically we enacted a scene depicting how black people undergo racial discrimination. I hurled racist slang<\/strong> deliberately against those two students and waited to see if anyone would come forward to help them. Surprisingly and as expected there was none to lend their hand for help.<\/p>\n

4) Highlight on various activities undertaken in your initiative.<\/h3>\n

We have so far conducted 20 activities<\/strong> like giving gifts to the underprivileged during festivals, giving stationary items to children from government schools. One such instance that I remember is when I decided to take two young girls, whose mothers worked as maids, to have a day of fun. I took these two girls out for shopping and treated them with a nice meal at a restaurant.<\/p>\n

5) Tell us about the themed “February month”, which you reserve for various activities<\/h3>\n

February is not only restricted to Valentine’s day, we gave it a new dimension by spreading love to the underprivileged.<\/strong> One such activity which I remember was when a watchman asked me why was I doing so much for him, caring for him, for which I replied to him that first he was a human and then a watchman. I wanted to break this kind of stereotype and make the less privileged believe that they are equally important in the society.<\/p>\n

6) What is your perception of “The joy of giving” ?<\/h3>\n

The world we live in today is filled up with materialistic values<\/strong>. In our country there are lot of people who strive for even the basic necessities, which when given to them, makes a big difference and their world gets completed. Sometimes happiness is making another person happy. This small initiative of mine has now impacted over 500 people just in my neighbourhood.<\/strong> The initiative is not only restricted to giving but also interacting with the under privileged people.<\/p>\n
