Mrityunjay Sharma<\/strong> a student from Shri Ram College Of Commerce, Delhi University<\/strong>\u00a0through his utter dedication in music broke the Guinness World Record<\/a> for longest piano recital<\/strong> which was previously held by Ramual Koperski<\/strong> a polish pianist. He is one of the youngest person to get listed in the Guinness Book of World Records from India.<\/p>\n

Music is life for Mrityunjay since the age of 3 when he got his first lesson in it and then there was no turning back for him. Mrityunjay calls himself a ‘dreamer’ who dreamed great success \u00a0which motivated him to play the piano for 127 hours in a row and break the world’s largest record<\/strong>. He played\u00a032 Indian classical Music Rags, 500 Indian light music melodies, folk melodies, patriotic compositions etc. during the entire 127 hours of continuous synthesizer performance.<\/p>\n

He achieved Limca Book Award<\/a> (2013) and then Guinness World Record<\/strong>. \u00a0Mrityunjay’s dream does not stop here. He aims even higher to break another record “Hitting 765 keys a minute held by a Hungarian named Bence Peter”.<\/p>\n

I don\u2019t want to aim too high but high enough so that the (next) record is not easily broken” says the SRCC boy.<\/p>\n

It is through this boy we learn that dreams can make you do wonders in any opted field.<\/p>\n

1. What inspired you all along to hit and grab such an amusing award?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

My dreams have always inspired me. In any tough situation, when I felt like giving up it were my dreams who helped me getting up again. Target always looks attractive to be chased on, be it of sales manager or of a dreamer.<\/p>\n

2. What is your ultimate goal?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Whatever I have achieved is the mercy of my family, guru, friends and institutions.This was not at all possible if I\u00a0had not got all this support. I want to be the helping hand for many students like me. I am working on this because a\u00a0weak\u00a0person cannot lift any other weak.<\/p>\n

3. How did this dream of achieving Guinness World Record begin?\u00a0<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Aspiration for playing a musical instrument for long hours started in 2004. I was in 4th standard, when I read an article about a musician playing for the longest time. That is where it all began because it takes less than a second for motivation to come from inside that\u00a0“I can do it as well, can\u2019t I?”This is how it began.<\/p>\n

4. Who has been your greatest support in your journey and why?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

There is a long list of people who supported me. Without them, I could not have achieved. All the support I got from my Family. Despite all the adverse situations my parents and my sister make sure I don\u2019t stop chasing for dream due to irrelevant problems. Also,my guru\u00a0Shri Sudhanshu Bahuguna has palyed a major\u00a0role in my life by teaching me all I know today.<\/p>\n

5. What is your key to success?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

My key to success is hardship, perseverance, and focus. I believe once you have focus and a dream then everything falls in place with time.<\/p>\n
