Brief Introduction<\/h2>\n

Fergusson College<\/b><\/strong>\u00a0(FC) is a degree college in western\u00a0India, situated in the city of\u00a0Pune. It was founded in 1885 by the\u00a0Deccan Education Society\u00a0and was the first privately governed college in India.\u00a0Fergusson College is known for its close association with Indian politics<\/strong>. Its founders were amongst the pioneers of the\u00a0Indian National Congress,\u00a0as well as\u00a0Hindu Nationalism,\u00a0and the\u00a0Indian Socialist Movement.\u00a0The college has produced, amongst several ministers and legislators, two\u00a0Indian Prime Ministers<\/strong>.\u00a0Fergusson college was among the 19 colleges to get a heritage tag<\/strong> by the central government and\u00a0UGC.<\/p>\n

        Fergusson College Ranking<\/h2>\n

        In 2004, Fergusson College was awarded an ‘A’ grade by the\u00a0National Assessment and Accreditation Council<\/strong> (NAAC).\u00a0The College also received the “Best College Award”<\/strong> amongst the colleges affiliated to the University of Pune in the academic year 2004-2005.\u00a0Fergusson College has ranked amongst the top ten arts and science colleges in India for the past twelve years<\/strong> in the annual survey conducted by India Today-AC Nielsen-ORG-MARG and published in\u00a0India Today, an Indian magazine.\u00a0Within the state of Maharashtra, it is consistently ranked second in both science and arts<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

        Admissions (Under Graduate Courses)<\/h2>\n
          \n
        1. Admission procedure starts after the day of the declaration of Maharashtra Board results after which candidates are required to fill up online forms within 5 days from the first day of the availability of the forms.<\/li>\n
        2. On the day 6, results are out displaying the names of the students selected on the basis of merit, which are available to the students\u00a0on the college website.<\/li>\n
        3. A counselling session is done on the day 10, with all the candidates required to be present at the college on the day when the final admission is to be done, along with all the credentials in original.<\/li>\n
        4. The process will stop as soon as all the seats are filled up.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n
