Jadavpur University : B.A. Admissions Deadline Approaching"},"content":{"rendered":"<h2>Jadavpur University &#8211; B.A. honors application and selection for admission 2017!<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h2>Online submission of application(s) for B.A. (Honours) Courses 2017-18, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/student-stories\/category\/college-exam-updates\/jadavpur-university\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Jadavpur University<\/a><\/h2>\n<p>LAST DATE FOR SUBMISSION OF ONLINE APPLICATION IS OVER, the last date being 14<sup>th<\/sup> June 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Few important points to be noted:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><em>After 48 hours of form fill up, candidates should pay the application fees online through SBI I-Collect System using Net Banking\/ Credit Card\/ Debit Card (enter Date of Birth in ddmmyyyy format in SBI server) and print the e-receipt from SBI website for further reference.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>After online payment through SBI I-Collect System,\u00a0<strong>candidates have to upload the fees deposit details<\/strong> (SBCollect Ref. No.) by login to the system using Application No.\/Login ID. <strong>If you do not upload the fees deposit details within 20\/6\/2017 in the website, your application shall not be completed.<\/strong> Incomplete and\/or incorrect application shall be liable to be cancelled.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>The candidate will then need to take a printout of the admit\u00a0card<\/strong> (if applicable), following all necessary instructions.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>Candidates must produce the admit card with two self attested photograph of the candidate pasted on it at the time of written admission test. (To print admit card follow Step 4 of How To Apply page.)<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em>All admission tests will have to be taken in English or Bengali.<\/em><\/li>\n<li><em><strong>IMPORTANT<\/strong>: If any PROCEDURE<\/h2>\n<p>The merit list will be made for all selected candidates. Students shall be ranked<br \/>\naccording to their final score out of 500<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-3 odd\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">For History, Sanskrit and<br \/>\nSociology <\/td><td class=\"column-2\">On the basis of aggregate marks obtained in the H.S. \/Equivalent Examination<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-4 even\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">For Comparative Literature*<\/td><td class=\"column-2\">On the basis of a two hour written test<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-5 odd\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">For Political Science*<\/td><td class=\"column-2\">On the basis of 1) 50% weightage to the aggregate percentage obtained in<br \/>\nH.S.\/Equivelant Examination. 2) 50% weightage to the performance in a<br \/>\nwritten test<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-6 even\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">For Bengali*<\/td><td class=\"column-2\">On the basis of 1) 20% weightage of aggregate marks calculated following the<br \/>\nguideline laid down in aggregate marks calculation. 2) 50% weightage of<br \/>\nmarks obtained in Bengali &amp; English taken together in H.S.\/Equivelant<br \/>\nExamination. 3) 130% weightage of marks obtained in Bengali in<br \/>\nH.S.\/Equivelant Examination.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-7 odd\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">For Philosophy*<\/td><td class=\"column-2\">In accordance with a merit list based on 1) 50% weightage to the aggregate<br \/>\npercentage obtained in H.S.\/Equivelant Examination. 2) 50% weightage to the<br \/>\nperformance in a written test.<br \/>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr class=\"row-8 even\">\n\t<td class=\"column-1\">For English*<\/td><td class=\"column-2\">All candidates will have to appear in a two-and-a-half-hour admission test. The<br \/>\ntest will be in two parts, of 30 + 100 marks respectively. The scripts of only<br \/>\nthose who obtain the minimum marks set by the Department in the first part<br \/>\nwill be evaluated in the second part.
