UPES International Students Admission 2017 :  Eligibility Criteria

• Students must fulfill minimum eligibility requirements as laid down for their chosen program at UPES.
• UPES must be satisfied that candidates applying for admission to undergraduate programs must have obtained higher secondary school certificate (with minimum percentage of marks as prescribed) and taken requisite courses necessary to meet the eligibility criteria for the Program of admission.
• For admission to a postgraduate Program at UPES, the equivalence for the Undergraduate Degree earned by the candidate in his/her country shall be obtained from the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). In certain cases, students may be requested to obtain the necessary certification from AIU in this regard.
• It is recommended that students have the following:
  • College of Management and Economics Studies : MBA programs: GMAT score of 600.
  • College of Engineering Studies: Undergraduate programs: SAT score of 1500/Postgraduate programs: GRE Score of 1700 (cumulative).
• Students from non-English speaking countries should satisfy UPES that they have adequate proficiency in English in order to be able to undertake the program of their choice. If required, an undertaking from such students shall be taken to undergo the English Language Training for a specific period of time (depending on the proficiency to be assessed by UPES on arrival) before starting the actual Program of admission. Qualifying TOEFL/IELTS or equivalent may not be mandatory but strongly advised.
• Students must possess a valid passport and Visa for the duration of study.

UPES International Students Admission 2017 :  Fee Structure (in USD per Annum)

Note:Students of BBA Aviation Operations have to pay the applicable IATA course fee (approx. USD560/-) along with the annual fee 2016.

One time fees include:

• Industrial Tour Charges – mandatory short and long duration industrial tours provide first hand exposure to industry for all students of full time UPES programs. Note: In the event that air travel is necessary, there may additional charges which the student will have to pay prior to commencement of the tour.
• Alumni Fee
• Personality Development Program Fee. To improve communication and soft skills, all students must attend the Personality Development Program organized by UPES.
• Academic Computing Fees–Academic Computing fee includes maintenance of the hardware, providing licensed software’s and internet bandwidth cost for the entire duration of the program. However it is mandatory for each incoming student to be equipped with a tablet or laptop conforming to the minimum specifications of UPES which will be detailed at the time of admission.
• Refundable (interest free) Security Deposit: After the successful completion of the registered program, the amount of USD320.
• The above fee is also inclusive of the Tuition, Examination, Library and Academic Services fee.
• Note: In the event of any taxes/ levies on fees by the Central/State/Local Authorities/Overseas Authorities from time to time, these will be borne by students.

Admission Criteria for UPES

Age Criteria

Only candidates whose date of birth falls on or after October 1, 1995 are eligible to apply for admission. Date of Birth as recorded in the Secondary Education Board only will be taken as authentic.

Examination Pathway

Eligibility Criteria

A student should secure minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th) and minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level (12th)

Admission Criteria:

A candidate has to appear for UPESEAT .

Non Examination Pathway

Eligibility Criteria

     Board Merit

• A student should secure  minimum 80% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
• A student should secure minimum 80% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level(12th)

OR

     JEE Main Scores

• A student should secure minimum 60% marks at Higher & Senior Secondary level (10th & 12th)
• A student should secure minimum 60% aggregate in Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics at Senior Secondary level(12th)
• JEE Mains cut off for applying for a UPES B. Tech program is 70 and above

Admission Criteria

• Centralized counseling through Merit Ranking

Upto 20% seats shall be filled through Board Merit / JEE Merit category. Incase of seats following vacant in this category; UPES has the right to fill these through UPES Examination. University also reserves the right to conduct further physical (paper pencil test) / online test for admission.

Scholarships at UPES

All India Category

• Eligibility criteria – 80% marks in class 10th and 12th with 85% in PCM
• 50% tuition fee waiver on 10% seats in each program in first year for CBSE, ICSE & State board pass out students
• The Scholarship will be renewed in the Second Semester provided the student obtains SGPA of 8/10.
• Scholarship in subsequent years will be as per scholarship policy of the University

Uttarakhand Domicile Special Scholarships

      Eligibility criteria

• Minimum 80% marks in each of 10th, 12th class and PCM for B.Tech.
• 150 toppers from UK board
• Merit order allotment of 1 seat per program.
• The seats reserved under this category will be within the 15% reservation for Uttarakhand Domicile students.
• Should have “Sthai Niwas Praman Patra” (Permanent Residence Certificate)
• Students will be entitled only for 1 scholarship at a time (either through Uttarakhand Board Merit or through Uttarakhand Domicile category)

      Scholarship

• 25% of tuition fee for Boys and 35% for Girl students in first year
• The Scholarship will be renewed in the Second Semester provided the student obtains SGPA of 8/10
• Scholarship in subsequent years will be as per scholarship policy of the University

Candidates placed in compartment are not eligible for admission to any program of study in the University.

Note:  Candidates applying under this category would be required to produce the origina “SthaiNiwasPramanPatra” during the day of admission failing which their candidature shall stand cancelled. Seats remaining unfilled by the stipulated date in this category shall be treated as unreserved.
