Fabric Details:GEORGETTE is a sheer, lightweight, dull-finished crêpe fabric named after the early 20th century French dressmaker Georgette de la Plante. Originally made from silk, Georgette is made with highly twisted yarns. Its characteristic crinkly surface is created by alternating S- and Z-twist yarns in both warp and weft. Georgette is made in solid colors and prints and is used for blouses, dresses, evening gowns, saris, and trimmings.It is springier and less lustrous than the closely related chiffon. Wash Care: -Though this material is strong, hand washing is best. -Fill a sink or tub with cold water. -Add a small amount of mild detergent and agitate the water to mix. -Add the clothing and gently swish it around in the water. -Remove from the water and squeeze to remove excess water. -Rinse with clean water. -Again, squeeze out excess water. -Lay the piece on a flat surface or on a drying rack and allow it to air dry completely.
