On 5th September 2016, a new company entered the telecommunication market, creating a buzz in the entire nation. JIO, a LET mobile network operator in India, owned by Reliance, come with various free offers for its users, such as free talk- time, unlimited texts, free 4G internet services and much more as \u201cJIO Welcome offer\u201d. It also started selling its SIM cards for free in order to attract more and more customers to the start- up. Billionaire Mukesh Ambani, the owner of Reliance JIO, is now justifying his New Year offer to TRAI after being questioned about the new plan how it should not be seen as the violation of rules, why it should be treated as predatory and how it is different from its inaugural plan.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/trendy-sim-card.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-2650 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/trendy-sim-card.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"621\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/trendy-sim-card.jpg 621w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/trendy-sim-card-300x200.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 621px) 100vw, 621px\" \/><\/a><br \/>\nSources, close to the company, claim that its &#8216;New Year&#8217; offer is different to that of its &#8216;welcome offer&#8217; and cannot be described as an extension. &#8216;New Year&#8217; plan is almost similar to that of the &#8216;welcome plan&#8217; but the only difference lies in the data plan which is reduced to 1GB per day, instead of 4GB per day. Also, unlike the &#8216;welcome plan&#8217;, New Year plan provides the facility of recharge after the data is exhausted.
