One Plus didn&#8217;t\u00a0take any huge gamble with the outside of\u00a0this phone because that&#8217;s not really\u00a0what they do. If you look at this phone you don&#8217;t\u00a0really see anything designwise that\u00a0hasn&#8217;t showed up in another smartphone\u00a0before it.<\/p>\n<p>So, they didn&#8217;t like take away\u00a0the headphone jack,\u00a0they didn&#8217;t go with dual cameras or\u00a0detachable modules or magnets or pins. It&#8217;s really much closer to I guess a\u00a0traditional look.\u00a0I&#8217;d say the worst thing about this<br \/>\ndesign is probably the camera bump on\u00a0the back which is not a very welcome design feature for me. The display is again really good for a 1o80p\u00a0display and it probably is not going to match the quadHD panels from Samsung in\u00a0sharpness or\u00a0brightness but those are the best panels\u00a0on the market and the One Plus 3\u00a0puts\u00a0up a respectable fight.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/bgr-oneplus-3-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1802\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/bgr-oneplus-3-1-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"Oneplus3 display\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/bgr-oneplus-3-1-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/bgr-oneplus-3-1-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/bgr-oneplus-3-1-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/bgr-oneplus-3-1.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s a 5.5 inch OLED\u00a0display with some\u00a0really thin side bezels (less than a\u00a0millimeter on each side). It gets pretty bright so it&#8217;s viewable\u00a0outdoors and of course it is battery\u00a0efficient by definition. These\u00a0highend smartphone chips inside are\u00a0so used to powering big quad HD panels that\u00a0you pretty much eliminate any graphic\u00a0slowdowns and\u00a0things are super smooth\u00a0battery.<\/p>\n<h2>Fingerprint Scanner<\/h2>\n<p>The fingerprint reader is also much improved\u00a0it seems to be\u00a0secondfastest fingerprint reader\u00a0in a smartphone right up next\u00a0to touch ID on the new iPhones.<\/p>\n<h2>Software and UI<\/h2>\n<p>Actually using\u00a0this phone is the best part of it, it&#8217;s\u00a0not really that risky at all,\u00a0its oxygen OS 3.1.1\u00a0based on android marshmallow as you&#8217;d\u00a0expect from One Plus. It has that stock Nexus feel\u00a0plus a bunch of extra usability features<br \/>\nstuffed in there for a better experience,\u00a0nothing crazy not a huge skin or a bunch\u00a0of new icons or bloatware or anything\u00a0like that\u00a0but more like pure Android<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-software-customizations.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1803\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-software-customizations-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"oneplus-3-software-customizations\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-software-customizations-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-software-customizations-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-software-customizations-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-software-customizations.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Anyway as you would probably expect with\u00a0these top notch specs a 1080p display,\u00a0a near stock Android and a fast flash\u00a0storage and just absurd 6GB of ram\u00a0this very well may be the smoothest,\u00a0quickest android handset alongside Nexus 6P right now. I&#8217;m just\u00a0hoping it lasts because some phones start off\u00a0smooth but then they find a way to\u00a0stutter even with high end specs because of\u00a0their software there bloat.<\/p>\n<h2>Battery<\/h2>\n<p>Battery life through all this is\u00a0also\u00a0pretty good. With a 3000mAh\u00a0battery and a\u00a01080p display so\u00a0expect\u00a0getting near four hours of screen on\u00a0time.\u00a0I gotta wonder though what they could\u00a0have done if they didn&#8217;t make the phone\u00a0so thin.<br \/>\nI mean\u00a07.3mm\u00a0in a\u00a0full metal jacket,\u00a0it&#8217;s sexy and everything but i wonder how it would have lasted had\u00a0they\u00a0followed their own example from last year\u00a0and made it a little thicker with like a\u00a03600 mAh battery.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AndroidPIT-oneplus-3-7925-w782.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1804\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AndroidPIT-oneplus-3-7925-w782.jpg\" alt=\"Oneplus3 battery charging usb c\" width=\"782\" height=\"440\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AndroidPIT-oneplus-3-7925-w782.jpg 782w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AndroidPIT-oneplus-3-7925-w782-300x169.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/AndroidPIT-oneplus-3-7925-w782-768x432.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 782px) 100vw, 782px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>One of the headlining\u00a0features of this phone is actually\u00a0their fast charging which they call Dash Charging you actually get a 4A\u00a0charger in the box which sounds crazy\u00a0because most smartphones are 1A or 2A chargers.\u00a0when you plug in and get 60% charge\u00a0in half an hour.<\/p>\n<p>Dash charging is apparently much more\u00a0efficient with temperature regulation\u00a0which is why the charging brick is a little\u00a0bigger. It will keep pumping the\u00a0current even when the phone is on and the screen is on and when you&#8217;re using<br \/>\nit where that&#8217;s where most other phones\u00a0will slow down there quick charge.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-dash-chargers.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1805\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-dash-chargers-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"oneplus-3-dash-chargers\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-dash-chargers-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-dash-chargers-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-dash-chargers-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-dash-chargers.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>There is no wireless charging since the\u00a0metal back but the fast charging makes up for that.<\/p>\n<h1>Camera<\/h1>\n<p>Camera on the one plus 3 as you guessed it,\u00a0no big gambles but just a solid bunch of\u00a0choices that put it together. It&#8217;s a 16MP sony sensor f\/2.0\u00a0aperture, has optical image stabilization\u00a0and phase detection autofocus for the\u00a0quickness. The camera app itself is\u00a0decently fast both to open up and take a\u00a0picture.<\/p>\n<p>The photos are\u00a0fairly well balanced they&#8217;re sort of\u00a0tiptoeing a line between being a vibrant\u00a0but not too over saturated, crisp without being over sharpen, it tends to overexpose just a\u00a0little bit like a lot of other\u00a0smartphone cameras but that&#8217;s fine\u00a0because dynamic range is actually really\u00a0good.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-back-10.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-1806\" src=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-back-10-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"oneplus-3-back-camera\" width=\"640\" height=\"480\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-back-10-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-back-10-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-back-10-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/www.paisawapas.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/06\/oneplus-3-back-10.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 640px) 100vw, 640px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>We usually see the camera\u00a0quality dropping off as one of the big\u00a0sacrifices in\u00a0smartphones that drop the\u00a0price a lot,\u00a0this is one of the areas where the One Plus 3\u00a0held up that really makes it\u00a0worth the\u00a0money.<\/p>\n<p>The camera also has full manual\u00a0mode if you want to get fancy with it. It also has a raw photos and to top\u00a0it off 4k video with stabilization. So\u00a0it&#8217;s a complete smartphone camera\u00a0package.<\/p>\n<h1>Verdict<\/h1>\n<p>To\u00a0summarize, the One Plus 3 despite being so simple really is\u00a0still the complete package.
